We read that this was a place locals hung out. When we arrived, it was crowded in the front of the room, but we heard a lot of Americans were in attendance. Not a bad thing, but not as local as we were expecting. It...More

I am a very fusy eater but I loved this place. The mussel stew was great I went back for a second visit. Ask then to cook for fish to your limo g to avoid disappointment. Get little gem, great service and reasonable price.

Unpretentious, friendly, and the food is good. We went in the little restaurant section at the back. My wife and I both had the squid pasta, lots of black ink, which was one of the tastiest dishes we ate in Venice. (€14 each). I also...More

Description
Founded in 1936 in the heart of Venice, in the Calle Cavalli street, very close to the Rialto bridge and the Rossini cinema, our wine bar offers its customers a cosy and peaceful atmosphere, with a familiar touch given by the wooden decorations which are the same that characterized the ancient "bacari", the places where people stopped to have a "cicheto" (small portion of typical food) and an "ombra de vin" (glass of wine).
