We had lunch here during our day in Venice and were pleasantly surprised. Great service, very good food and fairly priced.

If you're a fan of microwaved food, this is the place to go. But if you're not into deep frozen lasagna, you may want to consider another restaurant.

We stopped here for a quick lunch. It was fine but no better than that. Most lunch places around San Marco are of a similar standard, doing very standard food and this was exactly what this was.

We love this restaurant! We've eaten there a few times and so far it hasn't disappointed. This is our second trip to Venice (we found it on our first) and we headed straight there for something to eat. The menu has a good choice and is reasonably priced. The wine is great too (the house wine is especially good and... More

Simple, traditional and cheerful in appearance. We were reassured by hearing a lot of Italian among customers as we entered. From the menu the food seemed simple and straightforward i.e. hard to go wrong. And while the food was not at all special, it was the inept, forgetful service that ruined our experience. We were not given bread, or cheese... More

We had dinner here during our spring break road trip in Italy. There was no waiting line but the restaurant was quite full. We enjoyed the food.

No atmosphere whatsoever. This place is like McD but with a separate dining area for the cogniscenti. The rest of us have to put up with tables too close together for conversations to be private. The food was variable: my wife had minestrone soup which was so clear that she could count the two pieces of carrot among a rare... More

My wife ordered risotto with mushrooms while I got a pizza. Our food didn't arrive at the same time. I was nearly finished when my wife got her food. The pizza was normal, nothing fancy - you can't really make a pizza taste bad, I guess.

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
