Poor food, mean portions and no service culture whatsoever. Clearly unconcerned due to the vast number of visitors to Venice. The toilets are simply disgusting - you know what a poor choice you made, when you enter into this area. Dirty & grim. Please, do yourself a favour and find somewhere else. Never again will I visit here!

We had pizza for lunch here one afternoon. The food was pretty good, reasonably priced and service was quick. The friendliness of the waiters left a little to be desired but we were there to eat not to make friends :-)

Tagliatelle was snappable. Risotto rice was crunchy basmati. Salty was the only flavour palpable. Didn't realise a salad for 12€ constituted 3 slices of tomato, a scatter of 20g of leaves with some mozzarella. Stale table bread. Find somewhere else for dinner if you don't want pizza.

Ate pasta here twice and order takeaway once. Highly recommend the spaghetti with cuttlefish! The prices are reasonable with cover charge of EUR2.5. The service is average and this place is always busy. If you order a simple pasta, you'll be disappointed paying EUR10.

Went here on New Years Eve because all the restaurants were packed and this was the closest to our Air BnB and although there was a little wait someone came out and said it was worth it. So we took their word for it. There was plenty of people eating pizza but we were looking for Pasta. Service was friendly,... More

If you like being charged for tap water that has clearly been poured into a bottle that's been re-used several time (overfilling it and delivering it to the table with the cap unscrewed is a bit of a giveaway) this is the place for you. Big cover charge? Overpriced food? Tick and tick again. I think we had a lasagne,... More

We accidentally found this place after visiting St Mark's Square. It is certaintly not the expensive place we expected and the food quality was high.

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
