Our favorite new place in Venice. It's mostly locals, which we loved. The food is fresh and prepared to order. Natasha's service was excellent as well as her wine recommendations, of which we tried several. We were there for lunch celebrating a friend's birthday and,...More

Don't be fooled by its location right on the main 'stampede route' where you are either swept into town from- or out of town to the railway station! It's not one of those crappy tourist places one should avoid, but a gem for connoisseurs with...More

I had a nice couple of glasses of wine and a couple of cicheti. I would have given a positive review but my experience was totally ruined when accidentally broke a glass. I apologised but the owner caused a massive fuss saying that I had...More

Nice staff with wonderful recommendations on food and drinks. Drinks were not at all expensive considering Venice! Beer was brewed locally. Highly recommend

We stopped here for a platter of meats and cheese on our last trip, and thought we'd try dinner this time around. It was a bit of an error. The food was really good but it took forever to order anything, it was hard to...More

We came across this attractive little Osteria on a Wednesday evening in Venice and approached the owner. “No table inside, only outside” he yelled. We were tied and hungry and so gladly sat at an outside table and waited to be served...and waited...and waited. After...More

Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
