We chanced upon this shop while traversing through Venice. The selection of flavours are not as wide as most shops but the gelato is very creamy and delicious! We highly recommend the amarena! It's just packed full of cherries!

We stopped by La Boutique del Gelato and almost accidentally walked by it. The small ship has amazing gelato and the service is quick and friendly. Great prices too - only $1.50 for a small.

Read about this gelato place being popular with good gelato. Use Google map to guide me to the place. Had 2 scoops - banana and mandarin orange with nuts. Great taste gelato. Live up to its name. Has real fruit. Not too sweet. Taste just right! All wh visit Venice should go!

This is a rather missable gelateria if you are not paying attention. It's right beside hotel da Bruno, luckily our hotel and that's how we found this place. I wasn't expecting much as all of my experiences with gelato in Rome and Florence were kind of bad and this came as a sweet surprise. We ordered one small (one flavor)... More

Great ice cream. We tried a few different places and this was by far the best we had . It was also a lot cheaper and with bigger servings than most . Fantastic

Home made, on the higher price side but still very delicious and you get what you pay for. We had three different flavours and they were all very nice.

If you are in Venice and you DON'T go to enjoy this cheap and incredible gelato you will regret it! Where ever you are make the trek here, we read it was closed in Winter but this proved to be an error.

Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
