Our local B&B host in Lido suggested this place for dinner. On 25th dec, this place was full (of locals..I assume), so we came back on the 28th dec., there was no one in there. At 9pm we were the only couple and some locals at the bar. My wife ordered risotto and I ordered sardines. Both dishes were below... More

Excellent atmosphere and service. The food was brilliant, family friendly and reasonable prices. A warm atmosphere where both staff and locals were welcoming. Highly recommended.

The dining experience at Trattoria La Battigia was simply amazing. The restaurant was recommended by the hotel staff. As we started walking to the restaurant we noticed a tall slender man wearing an apron coming towards us. Unbeknownst to us the hotel had called ahead to advise of our arrival. Alberto, the tall slender man was there to escort us... More

A weird odor of lysol like cleaning product was the first image. It had been highly recommended by staff at the hotel, "friends". Unimaginative menu, I had a pasta bolognese without veal, just hamburger. The mixed vegetables were razor thin slices of eggplant and zucchini. A 'coperto' was charged, I was rushing out "escape" when the waiter stopped me, "the... More

Me and my husband found this place here on TripAdvisor. I have to say that I am so sad we didn't find it until our last evening on Lido! Really nice cooking, friendly service and such a nice atmosphere. Nothing even close to tourist trap! They started of by offering a complimentary glass of prosecco. We had grilled squid and... More

In a long weekend of fantastic food, service and company this was the best. A modernish twist on some classics but not so they split it. Another Lido gem - one other table tourists the rest locals who seemed to know the staff. Never were we made to feel left out. They made a fuss of my daughter and were... More

The place had a great neighborhood atmosphere with many locals enjoying their meals. The food was very tasty and nicely presented. The service was friendly and attentive. They made me feel likeI was one of the "locals". Definitely worth a re-visit.

Lovely, friendly discovery just up the road from where we were staying. No frills but great food and brilliant service. Freshly cooked seafood (the mixed fish platter is lovely) and plenty of extras that make the meal special. We sat in the sheltered garden. My favourite place to eat in Venice no question and well worth a walk down the... More

The best spaghetti with all sorts of lovely seafoodingredienses on our 14 days in Italia pluss exquisite attention and service from Alex and Jaro. When i return to Lido I will return to La Battigia. We reccomend.
