Had to put in a review as even after a month, the other half is raving about the seafood pasta this place did. It was a busy restaurant near the central station, small but cosy. Food was amazing- we wanted to come back to Venice just to eat here again!

Cute restaurant in a good location. It is next to the train station and Grand Canal, close to many hotels. The food and service were good. We had the minestrone soup and spaghetti with garlic and oil. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but it was raining and pretty late when we ate there so we opted to sit indoors.... More

Restaurant was close to our hotel and we're happy to have stopped for dinner! Our server Mr. Roberto was friendly and fast! Food was good and at reasonable prices.

We found this restaurant on the other side of the canal we were staying and ate here both the nights we stayed in Venice. Wonderful pizza ... They are huge! Also recommend any of the pasta or steak dishes. The best tiramisu I have ever had! Staff were great. Definitely recommend

36 hungry people in a group and we were shuttled into the rear of the restaurant on mass. It was cramped and service was slow - although I appreciate the staff were working as hard as possible. These days with so many dietaries - vegans, vegetarians, gluten intolerant, lactose intolerant and so on, they did their best. They did generously... More

Nice restaurant, first dinner I had there was gnocchi with 4 cheeses and a side order of spinach, which was excellent, plenty of spinach that served the 3 of us. Next night I had the "deal of the day" Which was excellent value at 18 euro, lovely vegetable soup, caprese salad and tiramasu for desert, which was delicious. Nice friendly... More

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighbourhood Profile
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
