Great Tapas and small plates. This - quite famous - place was not far from our hotel and a good stop before taking a nap in the afternoon. Inside it's full of atmosphere, feels very comfy and homely. Staff was nice and we were lucky...to get a table right away. The have a good selection of Tapas and small plates. Not always the same selection, depending on the time and day. We had some fried Bacalau, some meat croquetas, a ham-sandwich (with Eggplant instead of buns!!), pulpo (octopus) in sauce and spleen. And everything was just so delicious. The eggplant-sandwich was a fantastic idea, something we'll try at home. Octopus fresh and tender and the bacalau crispy and juicy. A surprise was the spleen, first time I've tried that. And it is surprisingly mild and tasty. Great, home-made food, nice staff, great location - fair prices. The full package. We'll be back.More

Очень приятное место. Гуляли рядом. Зашли на бокал вина с закусками. Все очень вкусненько. Быстрое и приветливое обслуживание. Мы были на террасе. Поужинать тоже можно. Цены приемлемые. Рекомендую Very nice place. Was walking near. We went for a glass of wine with snacks. Everything is...very tasty. Fast and friendly service. We were on the terrace. You can also have dinner. The prices are reasonable. RecommendMore

We visited this restaurant yesterday evening and enjoyed authentic and tasty food. The experience was heightened by the wonderful service provided by our waiter Omar. He was charming, efficient and managed all the tables singlehandedly anticipating every need.

Had a terrible experience there, the waiter would not even look us in the face after asking her several times if they had a free table to seat. After sitting for 20 minutes, I had to stand up and ask her inside and she told...me that they were no longer serving menus there, so we left automatically.More

Just around the corner from Pontini where we failed to get a table. It's on a fairly busy street and there's a bustling atmosphere and we were lucky to be able to sit outside; they don't take bookings. We tried some of the cicchetti and...the arancini were particularly good. They've also got a good menu and we had spaghetti vongole, fegato and calamari - all excellent washed down by some nice house wine. Service very good and looks nice just to eat at the counter inside.More

We were looking for some place that served Italian food and went up and down Tio Tera S Leonardo (an extension of the street that leads from Central Station to Ponte delle Guglie and decided on this place. It was Sunday afternoon around 2 p.m.a...and the very cramped place was hopping inside and outside. Ended up having two half-litres of the excellent house red, the spaghetti with scuttlefish in black sauce and prosciutto with melon. It all was excellent (in particular the spaghetty which had generous portion of rather tasty scuttlefish). All for 36 Euro which seemed a very fair price. The waiter was efficient and friendly. And there was certaibnly no pressureon us to finish. Will go there again before we leave later today.More

Stopped by for lunch at this trattoria nearby the Guglie Bridge. We went for a tourist menu based on spaghetti con le vongole and frittura mista. Side dishes were very good. We did enjoy the fried potatoes and salad. The fish was fresh and delicious....The only thing I didn’t like much was the spaghetti sauce probably made from a tomato tin. Great attentive service. Will stop again next time I am in Venice.More

Bought the meal of the day. Service was very quick, too quick as we felt we were being rushed as staff wanted to close up( we ordered at 2100). Food quality was ok , although spaghetti with clams came in a thick tomato sauce which...was not what I was expecting.More

We were looking for a cosy unfussy place to eat and so pleased we found this one. The service was great, the waiter was so friendly, and the food was great too. I had calamari, cooked to perfection with fried potato and we shared a...salad. Hubby had creamed cod, which was really tasty, cold, bit of a surprise, still good, served with grilled polenta. We finished off with superb tiramisu, as pictured so all in all a very enjoyable meal. There is only a little but, and certainly nothing against the meal and lovely service. The big guy behind the bar was obviously the boss, and he was really bossing the waiter about, who kept smiling and working so hard. They shut at 9, apparently, and the boss refused to serve two girls who only came in to buy wine to takeout just before then in a very abrupt manner, maybe he was just having a bad day, but we did feel sorry for our lovely waiter!More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
