Padova was wonderful to stay in. We were there for one month and were very sorry to leave. Close enough to go to Venice, Verona and many day trips. But away from the hustle and bustle of Venice. Beautiful old city with so much to...see. Walks around the city never fail to turn up something interesting. Canals were beautiful. Many restaurants never disappointed. The many Piazas were great to sit in either mornings for the many markets, lunch or evenings for an Aperol Spritz and dinner. We will return.More

Wanting to get away from the bustle and hustle of Venice we came here by train. Took a water us to the train station then the n a 25 minute ride to Padova. From the train station we went into center city and along the...way we saw the September 11, 2001 memorial dedicated to the victims. Very large but Mostly glass art piece on the right hand side of the road. Moving along we went to the Giordin della rotunda which is neglected. Since between the water reservoir and the wall there was a lot of space it was used for a public garden, inaugurated in 1925 and named della Rotonda. To go up to the garden you have to cross a stepped path which starts from Vicolo Mazzini and continues parallel to Viale della Rotonda. There are not a lot of tourists and it didn’t seem like a lot to do there but we managed to kill most of the day here. Not too many restaurants along the train station on in he city center unless you want a cafe. If you want to get away for a day, it’s an ok place to visit but check out the places to see before you go because they are not all in one area and you will be doing a lot of walking. You can also get some good deals here because it’s a non tourist area.More

Padova historic area is beautiful and the church is also very nice to visit. The church is beautiful inside; to view St Anthony’s tongue and throat and robe is interesting. The area where these items are displayed is beautiful and sacred to those who believe...in him. Visiting the church is a must if you plan to be in the area.More

Looked for a good 15 minutes & asked a number of locals including showing the trip advisor & pictures, they do not know where it is, and there is nothing nearby. Except a lovely irish pub.
