My daughter, husband and I went in based on the Tripadvisor stickers they displayed in doorway. After being seated, we waited a bit long for the waiter to take our order. The pasta is served at a 2 person minimum. We ordered 2 pasta dishes...More

So surprised to read a few negative reviews here! We tried another restaurant that was packed, so the owner suggested Al Mascaron. We loved it! The food was delicious, but the service was what really made the experience. Our waiter was so welcoming and kind....More

Recommend by our hotel. Looked cozy and full of patrons; mostly tourists. Offered us complementary prosecco while our table was being set up 👍. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. A waiter from another table removed two of our meals from our table even after...More

After reading several reviews here and reading that it was a recommendation from Rick Steves guide book I thought it would be a safe bet. The price was high 59 Euro for 2 plates of spaghetti de la mare, 2 desserts and water...The spaghetti was...More

Fabulous and unpretentious. Simple good food. Highly recommend. Wear clothing for warm weather as I don't think they have air-conditioning. Definitely make an effort to visit this place. Despite the sign stating otherwise credit cards are accepted.

trying to find a genuine local restaurant serving proper Italian food is pretty difficult in Venice where you are surrounded by the standard pizza/pasta combo menu at every turn. That this place also specialises in seafood also makes it somewhat different to a lot of...More

Great local atmosphere and good food. Off the beaten track a bit but easy to find. Very busy and very personable owner who laughed and chatted with all the tables. Highly recommend this

This restaurant near our hotel was our favorite in Venice - largely because of the seafood. We were in Venice 4 days and ate at Al Mascaron twice. They do not try to pull you in. In fact, you almost have to know that the...More

We ordered the pasta....no fish or seafood. Had a white sauce...pretty good. Overall, if you can't handle fish or seafood, I'd suggest a different restaurant. This restaurant wasn't as good as its rating by Rick Steves... More
