Good service, tasty food and reasonable prices. It’s worth making a reservation as it was full on a quiet Sunday night in October so I can only imagine how hard it is to find a table in high season! The octopus was a good as...previous reviews suggest and a generous portion. As well we had two pasta dishes, a mixed salad, water and half a litre of wine. The bill came to around €30/head.More

Ever since the osteria opened in 2006, it has consistently produced quality food and friendly service. Good wines in carafe or bottles, with many from the veneto region. Prosecco nicely chilled and long finish. Vongole e cosi, and mixed fish very fresh and cooked to...perfection. Good friendly service, recommended well worth a visit.More

Understated and honestly priced good food. Lovely meal on our last night in Venice with a charming outside location away from the touristic part of the city.

Surprised to see the Osteria as busy as it was. The seafood starter was very fresh, .the veal excellent. The service friendly and professional. I would recommend the osteria especially if you like fish and seafood. Good Prosecco and wine. Be back in April.

this restaurant is always full of locals and the traditional food is prepared well and is fresh. However, as tourists we were placed at the back of the restaurant (other english speaking guests also placed back there) where a consistent flow of sewer gases did...not enhance our meal at all. In addition, service was excruciatingly slow, with lags of 30-45 minutes between removal of empty plates and serving the next course, even though we had told our waiter that we had a performance to attend at a certain hour. Would probably not return, as there were other excellent options we preferred over this venue.More

The owner greater with great enthusiasm. The house red wine was very good. The pastas excellent. The calamari was lightly bread and came with fried Vega tables as well. The prices were very reasonable.

We returned thrice to this restaurant during our two week stay in Venice - we just happened to find it on our visit to Palazzo Mocenigo and Ca Pesaro, both nearby and closed as it happened but that was to our advantage as we found...the best place to eat in Venice! We knew it must be good as there were queues outside but we thought we would wait patiently and it was so worth the wait - service was impeccable and friendly; the food was to die for and generous portions. We initially had their set lunch which was such good value and then came back the next night to sample more delights as there was so much on the menu which looked so inviting! And of course this was our choice for the last night of our holiday - utterly memorable and a must do when in Venice. A tip though - make a reservation if you can, especially at dinner time - since this is the local haunt of all the savvy Venetians on the island as well as all tourists, it is helpful to have a booking....if it was this well patronised in Winter, i wonder what it's like in the Summer..... you have a winning formula there guys well done!More

We stopped here for lunch because it looked appealing and seemed to be very busy. There was a large Italian family waiting outside to be seated but they were able To accommodate the two of us straight away. There were lots of local people inside...and the food was amazing. They do a lunch menu for 12 euros which includes a main and a pichot of house (very pleasant) or water and a coffee. The food we ate was delicious - traditional Venetian - and the food people around us were eating looked great too. I had difficulty finishing my food and my wine. Definitely worth a visit, highly recommend it: staff very friendly; service speedy; old building with lovely atmosphere; food quantity and quality unbeatable. We will be back if we get the chance!More

Decided to visit this restaurant on the recommendation of a food blogger and we were not disappointed. The food and service was brilliant , so good we went back for lunch twice . Very reasonably priced.
