Great service from start to finish! The meals were delicious and the dessert was scrumptious. We stopped at the recommendation of our hotel staff and we are glad we did.

The decor of this delightful restaurant is like a ship, reflecting the predominance of seafood on its menu. For starters, the kitchen sent a delectable cream of shrimp soup, I followed that with the best seafood soup ever. The wait staff was helpful and friendly.

We saw this place multiple times as our hotel was just one block away. It was always crowded and had great looking cicchettis. One early evening we decided to try them out and did not regret. The service was quite slow as there were so...More

We had an excellent starter and main course in pleasant surroundings - perhaps one of the best lunches for some time in Venice. We then made the mistake of having dessert. The panna cotta was good but had too much geletine (which I can understand)...More

The place also offers quick standing bites, that looked more interesting if we preferred a more comfortable and convenient table. We got a quickly served simple set menu for a very reasonable price - 29 Euros per person plus drinks.

OK, TripAdvisor, how about allowing a 4.5 rating? We liked Da Fiore so much we had dinner here twice, a drink once, and evening cicchetti (small snacks, either free or for 1 or 2 euros each - like Spanish tapas - with an aperitif between...More

Description
You may fall upon Trattoria Da Fiore restaurant in Venice with cries of delight not only is it a charming, laid-back trattoria run by a native Venetian family, it is also incredibly affordable for this high-ticket city. Near Piazza San Marco, too, so its perfect for every kind of tourist or business noshing. A small, historic, charming spot with a separate space for those who wish to just nibble cichetti and drink a glass of wine, Trattoria Da Fiore has the beamed ceilings, warm plastered walls and dark wood seating and white table linens all typical of Venetian eateries. The menu is Italian and Sergio and his two children pay particular attention to the choice of wines. The house specialty is pennette da Fiore for two with olive oil, garlic and seven seasonal vegetables, though some swear by the zuppa di pesce alla chef brimming with just about everything that swims, perhaps followed by sgroppino al limone to finish. Youll find Trattoria Da Fiore full of both tourists and locals, and something of a triumph.
