This small restaurant serves wonderfully gourmet food. There are very few tables (they are a bit close together), so you really get personal service. The staff were extremely accommodating to my allergies, making recommendations and substitutions to create the meal I wanted. The wine list...More

Let’s start with the positives: a warm welcome, a zany decor, a few delightful dishes (3-way scallops, non-bollito bollito), and an owner who knew when there was a need to apologize. Now the negatives: we waited 50 minutes between the time that they cleared our...More

I sometimes fail to understand how does the Michelin rating work. La Fontanina lacks every aspect of it. The place has no soul nor decor or ambience. Service is good. Food, which is the important part is average at best. We tried the scallops for...More

Situated not far from the Ponte S. Pietro is this small eclectic restaurant of about 16 seats. Run by the same family for 35 years, they have collected antiques and "bric a brac" to decorate the room in a quirky and unique way. Friendly staff...More

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal. She had the guinea fowl and I had the braised beef in an Amarone sauce. Great food, lots of antiques, and amazing wine. Lavender cream brûlée was a perfect finale.

I dined here as part of a larger group and we were placed into a room next to the kitchen. We were told that this was suppose to be a 1star Michelin Restaurant, so we had higher expectations. First off, the place is old, you...More

One thing you must have clear when you think about a Michelin Star: it's about cooking outside the box. They're not judging the decoration, staff manners or whatever people may think about high-end restaurants. It's not about luxury furniture. Even so, if want to go...More

We are quite familiar and we love visiting Michelin restaurants around the world. So the La Fontanina was selected for this reason. Pricing was high but reasonable when you decide to visit a Michelin restaurant. However the total experience was a disappointment. Reasons: 1) Uncomfortable...More

Amazing decoration with real "treasure". The tasting menu is only euro 110 per person, but you can definitely enjoy service at Michelin 3 Stars. All the dishes would surprise you and not to mention the last dessert plate, which you may have to take out...More
