My cousins live in Palermo and took us to Lo Strascino for dinner. It is a very lovely restaurant with Sicilian decor. It might be off the beaten path for tourists staying in the center of Palermo, but my cousins drove so it was not an issue for us. We started with the Antipasto buffet, which had a large and... Good restaurant, regional and tasty food, relaxed and easy environment. The service could be a little bit friendlier but no problem at all during our dinner. I can't say it was memorable but I can suggest this restaurant

On our first visit we were impressed with the quality of the food. Returning to Palermo we were looking forward to go back and taste more delicious Sicilian speciality. The biggest mistake ever most of the food on display on the buffet was dry and tasteless, Pasta as starter was not al dente but totally uncooked I did not eat... More

Visiting this restaurant for lunch was a most pleasant experience and my only regret was we did not get back there for an evening meal. Its ambiance was relaxing and easy on the eye with its walls lined with photographs, paintings and other sicilian memorabilia. Some of us partook of the buffet - a wonderful array of different local dishes... More

The staff was excellent and helpful. Our meal was excellent. 2 of us had the appetizer buffet, keep in mind you can only go up once. I am a big eater and one trip was enough. I tried a little of everything, I love veggies so it was perfect for me. The men had seafood risotto and enjoyed it. We... More

This restaurant is located in a walking distance from Idea hotel where we stayed for 3 nights. We were so satisfied that we ate there twice. First time, my husband and I had the "Buffet degli antipasti"-the Italian name (different stuffed egg plants-with cheese/sweet potato etc. stuffed cocked eggs, sliced tomatoes with a slice of ricotta cheese, sliced mushrooms, fried... We were recommended this restaurant by our Hotel concierge. The location is good on the best part of Palermo. The concept is authentic Italian complimented by Italian staff members in the restaurant. A large number of guests seemed regular with also a good number of tourist. I had the lobster risotto while my partner had the mushroom ravioli. We also had... More

The food is very good, all traditional Sicilian fare and all done very well. The atmosphere is relaxing, with folklore motifs, though the place itself is modern, which is to say it's not in a historical building. There's no issue on the food or service but there are a few serious drawbacks to Strascinu for most visitors. Located along Viale... More
