Arrived to be confronted with scan codes for menu and neither of our phones could access. No printed menu available and herself was not at all happy form the outset. The barman pulled them up on his phone and lent it to us and I...had to read it out. I shoed the waiter a photo of a really good wine we had had the night before and he recommended one which was quite average and twice the price. To be fair, he did point out the cost first and I made the mistake of accepting! We ordered starters and mains. The starters were enormous and really sharing plates but this was not indicated to us and, consequently, at least half od each was left. My wide ordered duck and a steak for me. Mine was stringy and tasteless and the duck was appalling. Again we left most and complained to the waiter who immediately took it in the opposite direction to the kitchen. It turned out he had taken it to the manager who made no attempt to come to see us but, when we were settling the bill, he actually told us he agreed with us and said it should not have been served. To add insult to injury, he knocked 8 euro off the bill for an appalling dish that cost 23 euro. Unless you are a member of gen z and have no knowledge of decent food, avoidMore
