Unfortunately we sat down to eat at this restaurant during a bank holiday. It was one of the only restaurants in the area with a table available. So we sat down and my husband proceeded to check out the reviews on this site. We were horrified when we read all the horrible reviews but we just didn't know where else... More

Awful pizza with horrendous burnt olives. The salad was a joke with just pure iceberg lettuce and a sliced tomato for €6. The service was terrible...they stared at you constantly which makes you feel on edge as they hovered around like flies. They took away the olive oil and balsamic half way through you eating your meal. They put the... More

Just come back from a week in Syracuse, Luna Rossa, provided us with the worst meal of our stay- by a wide margin. The best aspect was the sea view and sunshine. The service was not great but the food, three main courses were all left unfinished and nobody cared to ask why. The restaurant is a tourist trap by... More

We had to wait over an hour and a half for our main course, and the quality of some of the dishes was not good at all. Very good view and nice staff, but the rest needs to be improved, it's a bit of a tourist trap for now.

The view is very nice and I suppose it is their only advantage. Me and my friend both ordered pizza: it was average, I have had much better. I had to send my glass back as it had lipstick marks from the previous client. I feel like I paid too much for a averge food (plus 2 EUR/ person for... More

We went to this restaurant last night for dinner and thought it would be lovely to sit and have dinner overlooking the sea. Initially the service was ok, nothing fabulous but we ordered our drinks and then our food. I ordered a plate of grilled vegetables and it was inedible. The spinach was cold, frozen (thawed) spinach, the broccoli was... More

In 26 years of visiting the island of Sicily and sampling its wonderful gastronomy, words simply fail me in describing the absolute catastrophe that this place is. The food is borderline inedible and the chef clearly has no pride in the slop that leaves his kitchen. Caponata with potato in it is a new one for me... Just slopped onto... More

Had lunch here on a day trip to Syracuse. The food and service was exceptional, and the view from the restaurant overlooking the sea breathtaking. We shared two pizzas, and would like to say they were obviously prepared from scratch in an authentic oven, all at a very reasonable price!
