It's an experience you need to have... It's a sandwich....but it's so much more... You don't really get to chose the ingredients...you just wait an see what happens....but the result is always great. Everything is fresh, everything tastes havenly and it's no surprise that this is the most reviewed place in Syracuse...

WOW. Once you go, you'll understand exactly why. Everything is fresh, and prepared by skilled, congenial people. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and there's no better sandwich. ***You'll be wasting valuable time if you're anywhere near here and fail to treat yourself to one of their magnificent creations.

When so much passion and love is put into every panini how can it not be good. They even made a vegan panini for a fussy eater like myself. We were even given a glass of sparkling wine while we were waiting. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to eat well for not much money.

We chose a quiet time to queue and were thoroughly entertained by the sandwich making and numerous tastings while we waited. Each sandwich is individually made with the finest of ingredients. Layers of cheese, sun dried tomato, olives, salads, fresh tomatoes and herbs, lemon peel, mozerella, meat if you choose, dried oregano, fresh ricotta, an orange cheese he described as... More

Located at the end of the market, this is a must. After waiting in line, you are sized up and a sandwich made especially for you - no two were alike. Literally one of the best sandwiches ever. Plus the multiple tastings during your wait. Inside you can get typical deli fare, just take a ticket. Also the wine and... More

This place, on its own, is a reason to visit Sicily, Italy or even Europe... I wouldn't even be surprised if aliens came to earth and went straight to this establishment because this is simply what great food is about! Delicious, home made cheese, fresh beautiful ingredients, warm Sicilian hospitality, the list goes on and on!! Waiting in line means... More

We waited for 1hr and a half but it was totally worth it. The sandwich was amazing and to be honest, the waiting was quite fun, even for my 4 year old twins! They prepare a sandwich for them while we waited for our sandwich and didn't even charge for it.

It was my second visit , two years later -where I insisted that my boyfriend comes with and he was equally astounded ! We both loved it ! It was worth waiting ! The waiting is longer but the guy does the best job and he does have that personal approach with every customer ! The best sandwich ever !... More

Luckily my partner happened upon the Tripadvisor review of the "Sandwich man" while we were in Syracuse, it is easy to find in the Mercato di Ortigia. Be entertained by the Sandwich Maestro while you wait for the best panini on the planet. .

street food of Ortigia. Dairy Borderi serves a wide range of products and typical Sicilian cheeses made by hand. We are in the market of Ortigia, and the place we serve our sandwiches and platters. We carry out the catering service and ship all over the world.
