Very authentic Tuscan restaurant. Stooped there because it was mentioned in the book by Frances Mayes, "Every Day in Tuscany". It was a very local place, which I like. Families enjoying their Sunday afternoon together, no rush.

Totally brilliant family dining experience - great welcome, great wine and great food - how the Tuscans do it best - and the preferred place for the locals to go on a special occasion ... passable English description of menu items - we suspect you could select anything and be wowed away ... the crostini and fish starters, seafood, pasta,... We have driven by this place dozens of times on three trips to Tuscany and never realized that it was a sister restaurant to one in Cortona. It is in the countryside in a tiny town and I don't know how anyone ever stumbles across it. Staff was super friendly, we talked about wine, our waiter had been to Paso... More

Service is great, and the food is simple, yet delicious to heaven. The steak was cooked to perfection, pink and gets redish the more deep you go into it. Starters and pate was amazing. Great food, good ambiance, and more importantly you leaving feeling experienced good italian Tuscan food !

Locanda del Molino was highly recommended to us and it didn't disappoint. We received a warm welcome and lovely friendly service. We shared an antipasti starter which was delicious and then each enjoyed a fresh pasta dish. My husband had the rabbit ragu with tagliatelle while I had the ravioli stuffed with barrata. The Pinot rosso was a perfect accompaniment.... More

We had dinner here whilst staying in a house nearby. We were greeted by canapes and sparking wine from their own vineyard. On this particular evening there was a booking for a group of 17, but the service that we recieved was not diminished in any way as a result. You will only br able to choose wines from the... More

Our tour group ate in this restaurant about 3 times during our week in Tuscany. There were multiple courses, and they were all different and significantly delicious. We had rabbit, lamb, all kinds of pasta, delicious hot bread, fabulous desserts, and we were all totally "stuffed" at the end of each meal. We were not hurried, allowed to take our... More

Owned by Il Falconiere, but a more casual dining experience with excellent food. Try the Pici (fresh pasta) with any sauce.

This was definately a highlight of our trip! Beautiful rustic place that I can not wait to return to. Very quiet and so relaxing on our Tuscan retreat! I want to say we were so impressed with our host Amr. There was not a request he wouldn't do for us. I received a parking ticket (my fault) while in town... More

Description
Once upon a time there was a very old mill. Today it is a charming Locanda with a special typical Tuscan Restaurant, completely renovated by Silvia and Riccardo Baracchi, owners too of “Relais & Châteaux Il Falconiere”. A heaven of tranquillity and elegance, in the middle of the Cortona countryside, a land famous for its culture, cuisine, and great wines. The style of cuisine inside the Locanda is simple and genuine, but never ordinary.
