We actually stayed here for a week in one of the apartments. So we ate every evening in the restaurant. It seems far from everywhere but the restaurant was full every night, all nationalities, all ages, and a mix of locals. Maria and her team make everyone so welcome, the variety of fresh food on offer is astounding, and the... More

Some may find it difficult to find but there aren't that many roads around there and you get to it eventually. Friendly family run agriturismo and restaurant where you can choose either the pizza menu or the full restaurant offerings. The antipasto is usually very generous and they take a pride in the quality of the meats. You can't go... More

Located in the Tuscan countryside this wonderful little agriturismo is worth a visit but check the map first as it could be difficult for holidaymakers to find. Simply decorated with lots of family photographs the main restaurant area has a cosy ambiance without feeling crowded. We shared the house special antipasti which was the best plate of antipasti we have... More

Hard to find, in the middle of the mountains, with a long way to go, not worth going there, and you don't eat well...............

We stayed a few days in "La Coccinella" a farmhouse nearby and had a great time eating and chatting with Marco and his family at their restaurant. They were very helpful with us, preparing meal at any time of day and even preparing food to take away.

We travelled from Cortona and it was quite a drive, very hilly and not easy to navigate, but the trip was worth it. The antipasti mixed platter was a feast - it consisted of deep fried vegetables, salami, cheese, melon and so much more. We can highly recommend the Bistecca - which was excellent, the portions were huge. The pasta... More

After a very early start and a fairly long drive from Rome, we arrived at our villa on the Tuscan/Umbrian border and, as it was Sunday and we were unable to pick up provisions, decided to find somewhere to eat that evening. Following a recommendation in the property's guest book, we headed along the winding, multiple-hairpin route to Acquaviva and... More

We ate here after reading the reviews on tripadvisor. We knew we wanted to eat at an agriturismo because the food is always wonderful and the people are friendly. When we arrived early, afraid we would get lost on the way, they invited us in to sit by the fire and wait till the restaurant was open and even offered... More

Acquaviva, tucked away in the montagna cortonese, has been known to us mountain dwellers for years as a place for great food, hearty portions, wonderful company (the entire Casucci family works hard to make every aspect of the place special), pretty good wine, and a comfortable rustic environment that feels like home.

We met a friend at this well hidden secret on a mountain road about 25 minutes outside of Cortona. We would have never found it if were not for one of our Foodie friends living in Tuscany. It is a destination restaurant for the entire family. No menu that we could see, just some suggestions as to what to order.... More
