Wonderful enoteca, Apparently Emilio , Riccardo and Ciro started their business in 1992. We spent two weeks in Florence in March 2017 and stopped by several times. Great atmosphere, people and food and wine. We did join he wine club and the wines that were delivered were interesting and a great value. And yes, we really enjoyed the crostone with... More

Firstly, I have to emphasise that if you are in a hurry, on any sort of schedule at all, or need to stay completely sober, do not come here - it took us an hour and a quarter to get something to eat by which time we had had one more glass of wine than we had intended (this is... More

Really nice wine bar with a pretty good selection of whites. The Salumi platter is very good and big. This place is located on a small square just off the maddening crowds close to the Ponte Vecchio. Really peaceful considering how close it is to the crowds. There is a good laundry right across the square.

Went here to sample some Tuscan wines. Not much English spoken, but enough to provide me with my desired tasting flight of three delicious reds. Accompanying crostini a great light lunch. Worth crossing the river for!

Walking away from the Centre of Firenze having crossed the Ponte Vecchio nestles Le Volpi e L'Uva. Please note it's a Wine Bar so no Coffees or selection of Beers. The Lady of this establishment is multi-lingual which is a boon to Tourists. The Wine we had - Chianti of course - was excellent and at 5 Euros good value.... More

The owners of Le Volpi e L'Uva have cultivated relationships with some of Italy's great vineyards and you can try some amazing wines for a fraction of the price they'd be elsewhere. If that doesn't convince you, they also make the best salads and crostone! I found heaven in a carpaccio salad and with glass of Maremma.

We stopped here for a few glasses of wine after reading reviews. It's right near the ponte vecchio but it's away from the main road, great if you want to get away from the main bustle whilst enjoying a drink. The guy who served us was very knowledgable and friendly. Would happily go back here.

Lovely wine bar coupled with great snacks. We stopped here for lunch after a visit up the hill at the Palazzo Pitti. Received a wonderful greeting by the woman managing the restaurant. She suggested some delicious snacks paired with nice local and regional wines. She gladly allowed us to sample several wines before choosing our favorites. The Crostones (larger slice... More

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
