We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of the hotel and were not disappointed. It is a little neighborhood tratoria with great atmosphere and food. Dinner reservations are necessary, we say people turned away and the restaurant was full by 7:30.

This was one of our neighborhood restaurants during a one week stay in Florence (it is around the corner from our B&B 1865) and we had two dinners here. Although the restaurant was full on both occasions, service was very friendly (they even remembered what we had eaten five days before) and the cooking was home-style and very satisfying. Particularly... More

We chose this restaurant as it was close to our apartment and always looked busy whenever we went past it. It was the biggest food mistake of our holiday! We were sat on a table by a cupboard - not normally an issue, except the servers kept going in to said cupboard to get new bread etc and banging my... More

The warm ambiance of the eatery, the delicious quality of the food, plus the kindness of the staff made this one of our favorite restaurants of the trip. We shared a baby octopus salad for the starter, my husband had the homemade pheasant ravioli for his main, and I had the grilled sea bass for mine. Also, although this restaurant... More

We made the mistake of not making a booking, but lucked out and got the last table. We felt comfortable the moment we sat down and the waitresses took the time to laugh with us even though they were very, very busy. The starters set the tone. The pheasant ravioli in truffle sauce was one of the best appetizers of... More

We had eggplant parmigiana, it was fantastic. Then lamb with roasted potatoes, it was good but lamb quality may be better. By the way potatoes were excellent. For desert we have milehoja with chantilli cream, the best I ever had. Crispy in every every time you have a bite. House wine was excellent and good value. Service was good and... More

We were told by friends who live in Florence to avoid restaurants around Duomo , and check out the ones around the Santa Croce church. Hence their recommendation of this place. The owner of the restaurant was warm and welcoming. We ordered an antipasto salad which was very generous and delicious. Ditto for the steak Florentine, a most fantastic artichoke... More

Friendly, traditional trattoria. Food wasn't that great, but I got the feeling it was an off day. The service is quite friendly and prompt. Maybe it's worth another try.

My boyfriend and I travelled to Florence back in 2015 and from excellent reviews ate here. We returned 4 times during our stay in Florence and was amazed by the quality of food, wine and atmosphere this gem offered. Even now years later I still fantasize about how lovely our meals were here. Can't wait to return when we go... More

Acquacotta was recommended to us by our Airbnb hosts. We stopped in on a Tuesday evening around 8 pm. We didn't have reservations but we were seated immediately. We started with the Wild Boar pasta and had we stopped there we would have been happy but we continued on the the Florentine Steak and were amazed! It's a little pricey... More
