This has been a favorite since 2012. Great service, delicious food and good value. Our favorites are the zucchini salad with truffle oil, the pear & pecorino purses and oh yeah the bistecca with the BEST potatoes. A trip to Florence would not be complete for us without a trip to Natalino!

This small little taverna-like restaurant was wonderful. Very friendly staff and the Tuscan menu had great options. We opted for the steak which was very well cooked and you can tell only the best ingredients are used. The desert was also lovely. The prices are very reasonable, €70 for two fillet mignon dishes, two deserts and a glass of vino.

I had my first meal in Florence in Natalino. My hotel recommended this restaurant to us. I can say I love the food presented. They were tasted so nice that for a person who isn't really in love with Italian food. It make me crave for them after I come back to my country. I ordered pasta with pear and... More

We had dinner at Natalino on our first night in Florence and it set the bar very high! Between the amazing pasta, rich and delicious stews and fabulous local wine & beer this was a meal to remember. A fairly small place great for a couples night or small group - would highly recommend!!

Natalino was recommended by the landlord of the apartment we were renting and the meal did not disappoint. It was good homely Italian food and the service was excellent.

Good food in a friendly atmosphere. Nice wine list, reasonably priced. The stand-outs: Eggplant Parm (not a trace of American franchise restaurant taste in this dish), rabbit sautéed and served with gravy and potatoes, and my favorite--Fiocchi (little purse shaped pasta stuffed with cheese and pear, served with a Gorgonzola sauce. The Fiocchi was a perfect blend of flavors and... More

While working in Florence our sponsors took us to this astoundingly good restaurant in the heart of Florence. We were told that this was the place to order steak. So we did. Oh my goodness, the steak came out from the kitchen on steaming wooden platters accompanied by some of the most delicious potato thin slices of "fries" I have... More

We were recommended by hotel to go there First impression is that it's all local Italian family eating there and not tourist type. I had chicken liver pate on crouton, the owner recommended the tagliatelle with white truffle (licking...) and my wife had lasagne which was good. It's not too pricy and it's a gem in the area and not... More

We came with a strong recommendation from our hotel and had mixed reactions. We both had the sautéed spinach which was very good and a generous proportion. My wife had seafood spaghetti which she raved about. I had the house lasagne which tasted warmed over and wasn't special. The waiter recommended a chianti which to me was the best part... More

Natalino was recommended to us. We arrived there without a booking. We were welcomed with open arms. The staff were wonderful and attentive. The food and wine was amazing. Italian home made cuisine at its best. We will return before we go home.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
