Decided to come to this place because I wanted to have a Michelin star food experience. I ordered the My Tuscany tasting which had some interesting dishes. Many were mind-blowing, and some not as much. The tasting presented typical Tuscan dishes with a personal perspective from the chef, and I enjoyed getting to know the chef through the food. Not... If you are in Florence, this is the place to go for an amazing evening. We ordered a tasting menu and it did not disappoint at all. Every single dish is exquisitely made and I have to hand it to them for putting everything together brilliantly. A special shout-out to the pastry chef who made some heavenly desserts to finish... I visited this restaurant with my wife and daughter. We enjoyed the most exceptional food in a 'no nonsense' rustic environment. The service was brilliant and friendly. It's a very good place to bring children. The wild boar is a must.

We went to Borgo San Jacopo for a special dinner in our last night in Florence. Everything was perfect! We went for the "My Tuscany" menu, and they offered us the possibility of pairing it with several glasses of local wines. It was a pleasure from beginning to end. I found the wild boar ravioli and the pigeon particularly delicious.... More

This would be a great restaurant anywhere. The fact that it has a million dollar view of the Arno makes it incredible. Food is sophisticated and the service great. Book early for an outdoor table.

Italian food reimagined, wonderful selection of wine, service was completely attentive, never have I had an experience in a restaurant that was so complete in all aspects. From the view to the ambiance, to the extravagant food and wine. Definitely one of the MUST visit locations in Florence!

The main dining room had a simple elegance and looks out over the river. They sat me at the window (always appreciated when dining alone). The amuse bouche was a little overwhelming: a horseradish and mushroom beef filet accompanied by a scallop in a cup in a spring onion sauce (both sophisticated and flavorful ) served on the side with... We had a wonderful experience at Borgo San Jacopo. The modern decor is lovely and the service impeccable. We started our meal with the chitarra, eggs and truffle (handmade egg pasta, poached egg and white truffle flakes). The taste was rich, creamy, almost decadent, without being overwhelming. I then had the pappa al pomodoro which was covered in edible gold... More

Setting A square entrance opening up to a long tall room with a wide and high window out to the river Arno. There is another room on the right with a slightly lower ceiling, but again a very nice set of windows out to the river. White linen, spacious table arrangements (a rarity in Florence restaurants), with very comfortable chairs... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
