Good service, good food and excellent wine. We could sit outside but as the weather was a little cold, we preferred to sit inside. Very nice atmosphere.

We stopped here on our way to hang out at the Piazzale Michelangelo. By this point in our trip, I was feeling pretty confident about my menu translation skills... but my confidence was completely trampled when I got here. The menu (from what I can tell) changes frequently based on what is in season (a great sign), but that also... More

The staff is kind and helpful. My husband isn't feeling well, so he offered a cup of hot tea. I can't really tell the difference because I am simply not used to the food in Italy. Still, the seafood spaghetti is so nice and the pork we ordered with beans on the side is worth going back for. Overall, I... More

On the quiet side of Florence with accommodation both outside or inside the cellar. The setting is simple, the menu reflects the typical dishes and includes some unsofisticated delicious offering. We had crostini with black cabbage, a fantastic florentine steak and a delicious orange flowered cheese cake. Price is appropriate. Free wifi.

We had dinner here our first night in Florence. I rate restaurants on the basis of food, service, ambience, price and location. This place was recommended by our hotel front desk and rated high on all counts. My wife and I shared a pear and arugula salad, pasta with a boar ragu (tasted like American pot roast) and tiramisu. She... More

I took my time with this dish. It was so delicious; I didn't want to finish. The buffet looked delicious especially the desserts but if you are only going to eat there once and pumpkin risotto is on the menu, order it.

We stopped by between lunch and dinner and enjoyed the lemon sorbet, served inside a lemon! and the chocolate sorbet. Both seemed a cut above what we expected. Great place to people watch, from their outdoor seating area. Very close to one of the bridges crossing the Arno River.

Right around the corner from our hotel, we came upon this restraint and fortunately they were able to fit us in. Great wine selection, great service from Laura and great food. We had spaghetti with clam sauce, a cheese appetizer and a nice chianti. We will visit them again!

Visited on two different trips and the food and service were excellent both times. Our waiter, Clemente, was superb and the menu choices great. End the meal with "Queen's" grappa for a special treat. Be sure to try at least a side of tripe.

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
