I went back to La Ghiotta some twenty years after last time, this time with my other half, so she could understand why I love so much Florence and its cuisine. I was happy to find that the food was still like back in the day, although the place had just been renovated. For a comparatively low bill we had:... More

Fresh food good ingredients and a lot of dishes to choose. Every Friday they do fish dishes. In lunch time it is very crowded since a lot of locals are going there for lunch and also university students

Found this restaurant through this TripAdviser site. Ate dinner as well as lunch, like three days in a row. Pasta dishes I ate were cooked just right ("aldente") and salad was very fresh. English menu available. My favorite was custard pudding I got as dessert for my lunch. Totally loved it!! Pizza dishes my friends ordered were also great.

This was a very quick resturaunt. Most of the staff we met spoke English quite well and the pizza and salad was delic6. My husband got the steak and it was really chewy and not good at all, yet quite expensive. We would come again, just don't get the steak!

My friends and I would come here every weekend during our study abroad in Florence. It's definitely a local hangout with excellent food, so come here to avoid eating at a touristy restaurant. The Ravioli Ghiotta is their signature dish, but all other Italian specialties are fantastic as well! Expect large portions of delicious food for some of the cheapest... More

We came here after our host recommended it, saying it was cooking "like grandma makes." After trying it, we can't help but agree. Affordable and delicious dishes that had us coming back three more times on our four day visit to Florence. The seafood linguini was our favourite dish that we tried!

It is a deli family type of place. The food is terrific and really freshly cooked. There lots of action and people picking up food, people eating and lots of locals. There is a reason for it. It is REALLY good! I noticed the server did not know what to say to me. Spoke little English but served me the... More

My friends and I visited this place back at the beginning of our study abroad experience after it being recommended by a friend. It quickly became a favorite, a must visit at least every 2 weeks! The staff was amazingly accommodating and friendly. They remembered us every time we went back! The menu is very delicious and one of the... More
