Short distance from Santa Maria Nouvelle Train Station, on the same stretch as Hotel Bocaccio. Nice cozy little restaurant that serves good hot food. Not as touristy as i thought it might be. Service staff was very good & attentive. Ordered the ravioli & The in-house specialty tiramisu was good yet not too sweet. Give the grilled veggies a miss,... More

Charming place that was not touristy and definitely off the beaten path. I thought it was some of the best pasta we had here. Tuscan soup was delicious.

I was staying in an apartment on the block of this place, so decided to pop in for dinner. It was a lovely little place, very intimate. You are able to order house wine by the quarter or half bottle which is convenient and affordable. Unfortunately both of the dinners ordered were not very tasty. I had risotto which was... More

If you want a warm Italian welcome then come here. We ate on the road and listened to the sounds of the city. Perfect host & would highly recommend for the service ❤️

We came here right before we left florence. The location was very good. Really close to the main station. The food was really amazing, we were group of 6, we ordered their tagliatelle, spaghetti, ravioli, pizza, and calzone. All of them are exceptionally good. Their pasta were home made, and cooked perfectly. And their price and service are really good.... More

Went to Florence for the 1st time and this was my first meal there. The restaurant was very local style which made me decide to eat here. Good foods with many choices and also in English!! The service was good but slow a bit. Oh..also, good location, close to train station.

Food was great, wine and the spritz (typical Italian cocktail) lovely. The staffs of the restaurant made me have a great experience having a dinner. They all where friendly and professional. Recommend it to everyone.

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
