We stumbled upon this family gem while trying to hide from the rain and were delighted. It was a warm atmosphere centered around a butcher and a wood fired oven. We shared a homemade tagliatelle with ham, beef, mushroom, and tomato cream sauce. We also shared a tasty walnut and spec ravioli in a white cream sauce. Lastly we shared... More

Location: close to Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Vecchio, difficult to identify as Restuarante Toto when walking because the sign only says "Restaurante." Food: We had a Florentine steak a caprese salad, and margarita pizza. We had Florentine steak at one other restaurant in Florence, and this was the better of the two. The steak was cooked medium rare (a standard... More

A typical Italian restaurant hidden in the backstreets of Florence. Try the italian pizza and dont miss the "bisteka" The italian stake which is one of the best in town. Drink the house red wine and finish with a great tiramisu or a panacota! Prices are very logical and the service is fast even if Toto its croweded! To avoid... More

I had HIGH hopes for our meals in Italy. And when we stumbled upon the alley of Ristorante Toto, that's exactly what we happened to find. This was our first big meal when we were in Italy, so we were ready to indulge in the basics -- a liter of house wine, pizza and meats and cheeses. This place felt... More

Dined on New Year's Eve. It was a mess.Service was spotty. Took the early seating. We arrived at 07:30, but food took long. At 09:30 the next seating guests were waiting, all over us and upset. We ended up leaving without finishing our meal, in peace.

On our first night in Florence we had dinner here because this restaurant was conveniently close to our hotel. The gnocchi dish was OK, the pasta dish was uninspired. Fortunately, the next four nights we stayed in Florence the food was (much) better, living up to our expectations of Italian food. Service was OK, but not noteworthy.

Wonderful restaurant with great service, we ate here twice, which i never normally do when going away. The first time I had pasta but we had to go back for a steak! Meat was beautifully cooked and succulent, would recommend this place to anybody visiting Florence - especially if you want a family run restaurant.

We stayed in Florence for 3 days and decided to give this restaurant a try after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent. The restaurant is famous for their steak which my boyfriend ordered and really enjoyed. I ate grilled chicken with baked potatoes and also really liked it. We had to wait a... More

Went for dinner based on TA reviews, but was disappointed. Nice ambience and reasonable service, just that we did not find the food to be that great. Perhaps we ordered the wrong food - but we found the beef stew to be tough and the flavor too strong for our taste. Pasta was okay but nothing to write home about.
