This is a very nice local restaurant probably used by the locals. The waiter was an old chap with not much English but very friendly. The menu was small and the food was good.

Unusual for Florence this seemed more a local's restaurant than a tourists, which made this a very relaxing experience. If you're into beef I would highly recommend this place. Very likeable manager. Slightly expensive but, hey, this is Florence!

When having a coffee at a coffee shop a senior waiter recommended this place for genuine Florentine cuisine, and he was right....Visited the place twice when in Florence and were twice satisfied. Excellent food and service, managed by his owner, Mr. Lino, home made pasta and else!.

This ristorante was highly recommended to us. The main speciality appears to be really thick t-bones steaks. We didn't want to spend that much so ordered the fixed price menu which on this evening included tortellini(very good), small sirloin(tasty and tender), small salad served on plate with steak, and a dessert(tasteless) -- 22euros . We also ordered fried zucchini blossoms--... More

My family and I like very much this type of restaurant: Italian cuisine, home made type. The dishes are excellent, right sizes to enjoy them, fresh ingredients. We had an excellent time and will return.

We discovered the place by chance, it was raining and it was very close to our AirBNB apartment. The look of the place is really 1970-like, but the soups (Zuppa Fagioli, Ribollita) have been surprising. Very good performances have been achieved with the Fiorentina beefsteak. Ribollita is a traditional Tuscan soup, made only with vegetables and bread. If you taste... More

We spent a couple of days in Florence last week. On our third night we were too tired to walk very far to find a restaurant, and one little place just around the corner from our hotel looked promising. And the promise was fulfilled! We had our best Tuscan dinner of our whole visit. To start with, my friend had... More

Not what I was expecting. I usually agree with other Trip Advisor reviewers but not here. I was looking for a typical Tuscan dining experience for my last night in Florence – and this choice was a mistake. Nearly every patron was Asian that night, even the very nice waitress was Asian and spoke fluent Japanese (which suggests who they... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
