We walked back to this gelateria over and over. It's so good, even when there is a line out the door. Worth the wait! Try the sesamo nero (Black sesame) flavor. We were so happy we were brave enough to try the gray gelato - so good! This is truly one of the really good gelaterias in Italy. Prices are... More

According to the staff, "You know, you should've tasted (the samples) only once." even though there were just you in the line (Monday afternoon....no people at all). Poor me, I ended up not liking the first flavour I tried, so I asked for another. The staff just looked at me blanky and uttered that cold sentence. What is the point... More

Always a must stop while in Florence. Always stop there at least 2 times each trip. The cheesecake & cream are delightful. As well the sorbet flavors are on top. Friendly fast service, so if there is a line, not to worry. It's worth it. Prices are so low, it's unbelievable they can keep the quality that high A must... More

Great gelato flavours and good pricing. The variety is extensive and the staff are very friendly. I highly recommend the pistachio white choc flavour.

Best gelato I had on my whole trip to Italy. The location wasn't difficult to find and it was certainly worth the stop.

Cheap, amazing gelato that is conveniently located on the River Arno. The symphonica carraira (orange chocolate) is the best dessert that I've had in my entire life. Dont miss this place.

Lovely gelataria, far far cheaper than the gelatarias on the main square yet only a couple of minutes walk away. Loads of flavours to choose from but once I discovered lime and basil I was hooked! The nicest ice cream I've ever had. Ended up going there every day of my trip for my basil ice cream fix :-)

La Carraia is a step up from blatantly touristy gelaterias (the ones where the gelato is piled up a mile high), but still nothing special or authentic. There are a lot of flavors, so you won't struggle to find something you'll like, but you can find much better gelato in Florence. The set-up is also not the best, the line... More
