Lovely gelataria, far far cheaper than the gelatarias on the main square yet only a couple of minutes walk away. Loads of flavours to choose from but once I discovered lime and basil I was hooked! The nicest ice cream I've ever had. Ended up going there every day of my trip for my basil ice cream fix :-)

La Carraia is a step up from blatantly touristy gelaterias (the ones where the gelato is piled up a mile high), but still nothing special or authentic. There are a lot of flavors, so you won't struggle to find something you'll like, but you can find much better gelato in Florence. The set-up is also not the best, the line... More

Went there with my boyfriend after having some recommendations from our friends which encouraged us to specifically go to this place We tried 4 different scoops: Cheese cake, Nuts and Figs, Strawberry and Yoghurt Nutella Excellent taste and a wide range of choices, we are very satisfied

The ice cream is good, some better than others. It got 4 and not 5 due to the lack of sitting places. Kind service, reasonable price.

1EUR per scoop. Value for money. Shop is clean and brightly lit. Patronised it for 4 consecutive days!

We lined up with neighborhood Florentines for this fabulous gelato. Truly some of the best we've ever had. Made fresh daily, great flavors, quality gelato.

After going on a food tour, we knew this was real Gelato not made from powder. My daughter recommended this Gelato establishment and we enjoyed it immensely. This is a must do!

Only place where you can still get a gelato for 1 euro in Florence. The line up is long but well worth it
