I came across this restaurant one afternoon last year and decided to stop for lunch. I ata outside. Food was very good but I didn't remember to take the card. So this week having arrived in Florence very hungry with 2 friends on a rainy night and not having researched restaurants I was delighted to find Francesco Vini again. There... More

First time back to this wonderful restaurant in 21 years. Has changed in size but food and service is still amazing, if not better than before. Grazie Francesco, good to see you again!

We were thirsty after having just come from Santa Croce on the way to more sightseeing, so we stopped here - as it was lunchtime we sat inside to make way for people eating outside. This is a lovely restaurant (see photos) and staff were friendly. The Vernaccia was excellent and the pizzas smelled good too! We would definitely eat... More

Traditional Italian restaurant serving good quality unpretentious food at reasonable prices, you can easily eat a 3 course meal for around 30€ per head excluding wine, do try their stuffed rabbit 16€, their hot chicken liver pate on toast, and as a desert Cantuccino (almond biscuits) with Santo Vino (a sweet wine) 6€. The wine menu is quite extensive, with... More

We ate dinner here during a recent trip to Florence. We also had afternoon drinks on a couple of occasions, sitting outside - we went during a really warm spell. The waiters on both occasions were friendly and polite. The drink prices for the beers and wine were reasonable for a city restaurant. We particularly enjoyed a rose wine. On... More

We stayed upstairs in an apartment and just noticed this place by chance walking by. What a pleasant surprise! There were eleven of us and we booked a beautiful private room; walls covered with wine bottles, a door out to a quiet street, a staircase downstairs (to old colosseum arches and a wine cellar). The atmosphere was great, and the... More

Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
