We have been coming to the Cardellina for lunch for a number of years and have also enjoyed it with friends for dinner. Nowhere have we had such splendid spaghetti along with some house wine and excellent service. We look forward to stopping by during every trip; this trip we stopped by twice.

Found this handy to our accommodation and the food was pretty good, had a reasonable house wine and we found the service to be very good.

My friend and I had just arrived in Florence and wanted to find something close to our hostel. After wandering around for ten minutes, we stumbled upon Il Cardellino. We decided to give it a chance and we were so happy that we did. The place is very much decorated like a quaint Italian family room and a delicious tray... More

Decided to just walk to find a place for our evening meal and found this gem. They have an antipasto bar with delicious choices. Their risotto was creamy in texture and excellent! For our second course, my husband and I chose veal dishes and the taste was superb. The gentleman who served us was attentive and very kind. We also... More

I recommend this restaurant which is located in Via San Gallo. We had our dinner there for five straight days - tried its what we like in its menu.

Food was okei. My wife wanted to have aperitif. They did not have any in list, but they made to us Kir from Sicilian Muscat. Invoice was a surprise. They invoiced from couvert and also additions, green salad and egg plants, were expensive. I am so used to calculate before we get the bill the final sum and quite often... More

Average food. Hidden charges. Service passable. Outside dinning area is on the street. You could do a lot better elsewhere

Nice little family run restaurant. A full menu, including a very reasonably priced tourist menu. Food was both plentiful and tasty. Service was very friendly and helpful.

We walked into this restaurant very close to our hotel at the end of a long and tiring day. We were welcomed very warmly and given a table at the end of the room. It was obvious from the start this was a family run restaurant and the food was like home cooking. Depending on your expectations this could be... More
