...i live in Florence, so me and a friend decided to check this place out. First of all, from the moment we walked in, we recieved a rudeness that was uncalled for. We had asked if we could sit down, and the guy told us to sit wherever {in Italian} He wouldnt remove the mess at our table, that the... More

We happened upon this place by chance and were lucky enough to get a table outside overlooking the river. This has to be the most reasonably priced wine bar in Florence (if you want something with a view). Really good choice of wine, although we settled for a bottle of prosecco, and at €11 who wouldn't? Nice snacks too!

e forgot our bag here after drinking some wine and when we were back to take the bag they made fun of us, didn't give it back. We saw the bag than they hide it IN FRONT OF OUR EYES. Still could not understand this inhostality and robbery. This place is the only reason for the fact that I won't... More

This place is hopping in the later afternoon when you walk by across the Ponte Vecchio on the Oltrarno side of the bridge. Near the larger grocery store-you cannot miss it but you might if you blink. Little wine bar with a decent selection of wine. Good prices for wines by the glass. The people that work in there are... More

Exactly what we were looking for! A table on an old wine barrel half-in the restaurant front door; on a street right off (but left in direction!) ponte vecchio. Great price for delicious wine. Excellent sandwiches, and their crostini and pizza were great. Christina (spelling?) was a great host/server/waitress of this tiny hole in the wall eatery. Will certainly be... More

We were lulled here by the high ratings on trip advisor. I gave it an average rating as we never actually got to eat here. After a lengthy walk we arrived. The place is very small and there were no tables. There is no view. So be aware.

We'd been on our feet for a few hours, including a city walking tour followed by a visit to Opera Santa Croce. Heading across the Arno to the Ponte Vecchio bridge, we happened on il Panino del Chianti. What a blessing! Delicious sandwiches, excellent wine (including house wine for 2.50 Euro), and friendly service. Just what a tired tourist needs... More

In a fabulous location - just off the Ponte Vecchio (walking away from the duomo direction you turn left once off the Ponte vecchio and it's almost immediately on your right hand side. Also if you carry on walking down that road you end up at the michael angelo statue - a great view of Florence. Anyway to the food.... More

I went here for a glass of wine and thought I would have a few and perhaps dinner there but ended up leaving because of a rude server. One of the customers on the adjacent table and I were chatting and the server made it a point to come stand in between us not just once but many times. Every... More

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
