We were very satisfied with our food, drink and service here on a sunny February Sunday afternoon. We were fully aware that our snack lunch would probably be expensive since the bar is in such a prime position (about €23 for two lovely fresh ham and cheese buns, a beer and a coffee) but the service was prompt and polite,... Climbed the stairs of the bell tower and came down starving, wanting to sit and listen to the amazing violin player. Got a glass of red wine that tasted like grape juice and a meat and cheese tray that had the cheapest fattiest prosciutto I've ever had, as well as what seemed to be a hot dog cut into pieces.... Any type of restaurant near the tourist hotspots is going to be expensive and understaffed. Once you get past that, this place actually isn't too bad and really convenient.

Nice place to have a quick break, nice glass of Prosecco and give a bir rest for your feet. Pricing is ok especially when you take in count the view offered - maybe the best in piazza Duomo

We went there to get a drink after a visit of a museum. The price are extremely high! The service is more than horrible! The barman insulted in italian a Chinese person that took a picture of the bar. You can only pay by card if you agree to pay twice the price! Just a pure rip off! Even if... More

The location is perfect, right in front of Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. It was incredibly windy that day, so thank goodness for the plexiglass walls they had around a group of the tables. The lunch was very good. Not really special, but very good. And the tiramisu was wonderful. However there was basically one or two servers, serving... More

Truly dreadful. Six euro for a plastic bottle of coke and a glass! Six euro for a really basic sandwich. Awful awful awful service! Please avoid at all costs.

This place serves a huge plate of meat as an appetizer. We drank a nice glass of Chianti and enjoyed our appetizer. Very good! And, very kind service!!!

Just visit the place, have some light food with a drink and just enjoy the beautiful architectures in front of you.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
