we visited that cafe mainly based on its famous brand, but we were really happy to experience a freshly crafted espresso and an exquisite hot chocolate!the prices were 100% reasonable, considering the post and its brandname! definitely recommended!!!

Might have been something 15 years ago but now it's just a run down bar with high prices! From the bathrooms to the outside you can see that what you are paying for it's not worth the money. We ordered a beer with two glasses of red wine ( no special type requested) for a bill of over 24 euros.... More

We stopped off for a beer after a long day if sight seeing. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, good service and free nibbles. Stand at the bar for cheaper prices.

Stopped in, sat outside and took in the atmosphere. A comfortable and shaded area to enjoy a couple of drinks. Owned by designer Roberto Cavalli, with the Roberto Cavalli boutique next door. Staff were friendly and the prices were very good. This is where the Negroni cocktail was invented back in 1919-1920 when it was called Bar Casoni. Now, Caffe... More

This is a top and very local Bar and Cafe. The products are excellent you can enjoy an original florentine cocktail or a lovely lunch. The bar is also perfect for Breakfast - cappuccino is excellent and the pastries are very fresh

Giacosa. (Roberto Calvalli café) Pleasant place to stop for cappuccino / iced coffee and cake on a hot day. Cool water vapour blows over you outside. Service polite but a little slow -but the chocolate tart was worth the wait! Chocolate profiter roll also delectable !

This place is a classic. It is not designed for long breakfast and deep conversations. Rather, it is the kind of place you stop for a quick bite and some coffee. They have a counter full of freshly made sweet and savory treats, and a different one where you order drinks. Everything I tried here is fresh and really tasty.... More

Aside from the fact that it was a designer cafe it had very cute delicacies in terms of deserts It was a fun experiment after tons of shopping assuming that the food and beverages won't be good but we were pleasantly surprised Best part was the extremely trendy crowd that visited the cafe with their super shopping bags as well... I have a real penchant for cocktails so I just had to make a visit to the birthplace of the Negroni. Service was slow to begin with (we almost got up and left after 10 minutes passed by without even being presented with a menu) but the drinks list was impressive. Our Negronis were well presented and were accompanied by... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
