My husband and I went in May 2017, I ordered tomato soup and beef lasagna, the soup was from a can and the lasagna had enough meat to fill a egg cup, it was the most terrible food and service I have had in Italy, also they hid the cover charge in tiny script on the dessert page.

Yes, this restaurant is located in a prime tourists trap but what amazed me was how good my risotto came out. Sitting in one of the tables outside and got irritated with the aggressive pigeons that thought my food was meant to be shared. Service was prompt and courteous, and they charge coperto to my final bill, and that saved... More

It was a good experience. The food was really good and the serving was also alright. The only downside was that there were many guests, and so we sat very close and it took a little while before we got the food, but it was worth waiting for.

We stopped here on our way to Palazzo Pitti and should have kept walking. There's other cafes at the Palazzo with a view and there wasn't anything special about the food at RSF. Service was no where to be found most of the time and not nearly as good as other cafes we've dined at in Florence.

Whilst searching for somewhere quiet to eat amongst the florentine throng we came across this place in a little piazza off the main street. The tables were neatly laid and we were welcomed politely. I chose the swordfish and roasted vegetables which turned out to be really tasty - I actually got two swordfish steaks Unfortunately my choice of dessert,... More

The food was average to bad the wine we ordered was plunk. Accidentally we checked the retail ( shelf price) of the wine and it was retailing 1.49. We paid 20.00 euros. Thanks, but no thanks. I am sure there are much better places

Directly off the Ponte Vecchio in a small square, this restaurant is obviously a tourist trap. The simple margherita pizza was amazing for my 12 year old daughter but the tagliatelle ai fungi was tasteless and couldn't even be rescued with half the pot of Parmesan. Extremely disappointing

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
