Delectable cuisine with a super friendly staff. The stuffed tortelli with ricotta and butter was out of this world!

We came across this place as we were about to head up hill to San Minaio. We'd been out all morning and decided to stop for lunch there before continuing up hill. The bit downstairs was not so appealing, but the garden part up the stairs at the back is lovely. It was fairly empty when we were there, the... More

We stopped here on a recommendation from a local- 10 euro apertivi that was extensive, constantly changing every time we got up and delicious cocktails. Outdoor seating area upstairs was relaxing and fun. Would definitely return here and recommend for a place to visit for drinks and apertivi!

After visiting Piazzale Michelangelo went there for a drink. The green garden was so welcoming we couldn't resist. The drinks were delicious and on a reasonable price. For 10 euros you can have a cocktail + buffet which is a great deal! Totally worth a visit!

Came for a 2pm lunch after visiting Piazzale Michelangelo. The garden seating, Prosecco, and lunch made for the perfect afternoon to rejuvenate for an evening in Florence. We had the calamari w/shrimp, linguini w/clams, Caesar salad, and our little one had the hamburger. Everything was prepared and presented superbly and the service was excellent.

After a long walk up the hill and back down we arrived back a little before 12, but the bartender asked if we wanted lunch and directed us to the garden. It was lovely. At 12 the wait staff were right there. We had a antipasto and pasta and drinks for two for 30 EUR. Not 'fine dining' but solidly... More

Stopped off here at bottom of the hill for piazzale michelangelo. Restaurant has indoor area but we sat in a lovely garden above with trees surrounding seating. Staff friendly and helpful - and helped with our requests or queries - and spoke english. We ordered two meat platters and a salad to share. Portions were large, tasty and very fresh... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Piazzale Michelangelo
Just outside the ancient walls of Florence, Viale Michelangiolo starts. It is a winding road rimmed by wonderful poplars and holm oaks. The long ascent opens up to the most beautiful and famous panoramic viewpoint of Florence: Piazzale Michelangelo, where an elevated terrace offers visitors an incomparable and breathtaking view of the entire city from above. During good weather, Piazzale Michelangelo provides visitors with a serene space surrounded by the amazing landscape, better if accompanied by a fresh gelato from a local kiosk. During night, visitors will be dazzled by the warm lights of the capital of the Renaissance. Spend a second with the silent Romanesque beauty of the Basilica of San Miniato al Monte: the one that wishes good morning and good night to Florence!
