Restaurant was recommended to us. Offers Tuscan dishes, meats and cheeses and pasta. Tagliolini with cacio/pepe was ok as was the artichoke and potato dish. I had a wonderful mixed salad and selected cheeses which were very good. Desserts were also adequate. As I said, food was ok ( except mine which was very good). The restaurant is very highly... More
The dinner was nice, in a mideviel envirronment, we had a nice dinner, especially my entree was great, a nice piece of buffalo mozarella on top of a Rucula salad surrounded with the best proscuitto i had for a long time. The mozarella was perfect, probably locally produced. Although the tast of the buffalo steak was graet, I personally liked... More
Visited for dinner with my husband on a recommendation and had a lovely evening. Beautiful old building, quite fascinating to look around you. Very traditional Tuscan fare, we enjoyed all the food ordered with some delicious wine. Very glad we went.
Visited with my husband and two children, the restaurant was warm and friendly. The food home cooked with fresh ingrediants, everything you'd expect from a great Italian restaurant.
Menu offered a range of traditional Tuscan dishes from wild boar to offal. Good range on offer. Pumpkin gnocchi was delicious. Interesting decor and attentive service.

Wild boar might not be to everyone's liking but I appreciated this full flavored dish. My husband... More
The restaurant has a lovely appearance with old curved ceilings and open brick work which made for a warm, cosy feeling. The staff were helpful & friendly, & the food traditional, local & honest. There is nothing fancy about this place & it appears popular with the locals which is always a good sign. The food was a little on... More
Osteria Baralla was suggested to me by a local, so on a cold night in January, in a ghost night in Lucca, we went to find the place amongst many closed places in central Lucca. We managed to find Baralla and entered the cosy place which offered us a shelter from the cold outside. Baralla seems to be an old... More
