You’ll be glad that Lucca is a pedestrian only city and that your car is parked on the outskirts by the city gate, as you try to rationalize the delicious calories you just consumed here. This is a small old-fashioned shop that is dominated by a large glass case that begs you to try everything on display. Their Buccellato Taddeucci... More

Stopped here on an organized tour group. We were given a small sample of the traditional bread. It was very good, had a licorice taste. There are a few tables outside to sit. Seemed a little pricey.

We sat overlooking the San Michele in Foro church, whilst we ate our cakes. There was so many cakes to choose from and they all looked so good. I defy anyone to visit and be able to resist. Enjoy!

Yes, go to Taddeucci for a coffee and pastry and enjoy it at one of their outside tables as you watch the world go by. But don't miss the amazing interior of this shop... the sweet counter is something out of a byegone era. Exquisitely crafted candies, rows of apothecary jars of multi-coloured treats, delicate candied violets (where can you... More

We enjoyed this coffe house but found the service to be a bit slow. It is in a nice piazza and serves nice cakes and pastries so a good place to sit if you are not in a rush

In doing research for visit to Italy, we read that the Taddeucci Pasticcerria is THE place to purchase the local traditional bread loaf called buccellato ( a wonderful bread consisting of raisins/currants and a subtle taste of anise). What a beautiful shop! This was one of those places I wished I could have shopped, sampled and stayed longer. The bread... More

Not really a restaurant but definitely a great place for a coffee and cake/biscuits etc. They have a lot of Lucca specialities - biscuits as well as the buccaletto mentioned here in other reviews. There is an outside area for 'sit down' coffee etc or you could mix it with the locals at the bar at the back of the... More

Great coffee (try caffee corretto) and pastries. The place is small so tables are only outside on the plaza, yet the interior is old and cute.

There were a huge variety of pastries here. We tried several, but our favorite was the buccaletto which is a regional pastry only found in Lucca. It's very rich and filled with raisins and anise. I think it was 9 euros for a loaf that we took back to our hotel and polished off the next morning. Delicious! The woman... More
