It's more a kinda like takeaway pizzeria, the favorite one of University students and teachers as well. I've been taking this pizza since I was a child and I think that it's really one of the most characteristics local goods. The pizza is quite thick and is cooked in fry- pan in a wood oven. I can't say that it's... More

Our friends in Pisa brought us here for traditional Tuscan cuisine, so traditional and old school, that our other Italian dining companions had not seen some of the dishes before. Definitely try their house-made and very special torte cecina which is a chick pea flatbread cooked in a huge cast iron pan inside the wood fired oven. Crispy and lacy... More

We dined here with a couple of friends from the UK, because we wanted them to taste what we though/hoped would be a real Italian pizza. It turned out to be a great disappointment. Two of our pizzas were burnt on the borders (all black like coal); we had roasted potatoes: a little, sad dish and… burnt as well! The... More

We had calzone x 2, spaghetti al ragu and lasagne with a drink each - all eaten and thoroughly enjoyed - its authentic, it's pleasant, it's easy and it's delicious - nothing more needed for my family! Loved it and will go back for lunch again!

We ate here for lunch on a daytrip to Pisa. So very glad we did! It's a great place for Cecina and Focaccia - mostly locals, so brush up on your basic Italian, didn't cater much to the tourist crowd, but so very worth it!

So in reality this place has some mixed reviews and I was wondering what it would be like. I can only base this on our experience, which was pretty good. It was very busy and it's a shame they only have the alley for seating. We went indoors so we can't say anything about the pigeons. Also the serenading gypsy... More

We were recommended this place by friends. Service was good and food came out quickly and was amazing! The kids loved it and price wise very good. My only gripe here is the resident gypsy singer player who sings to the patrons. After a long day with kids we really didn't need this intrusion on top of the constant requests... More

We stopped by here very late (9:30ish) after visiting the tower on the recommendation of our Airbnb host. Food and service was good (pizzas), not great, and I would recommend it based on the food alone. However, we were subjected to a very pushy street musician who hung around the outdoor tables for over 20 minutes singing to each individual... More

This pizzeria is a bit hidden and allows to share a good meal surrounded by Italians. It has a local taste. Prices are correct and pizzaiolo is nice. Highly recommended place!
