The staff at Rosso di Sera booked us a table here, at my request, after I had read reviews on this site. The menu is in Italian only so I translated it before leaving home. However, the waitress was explaining dishes in English to an American couple. The food was typically Tuscan , well cooked &delicious. The wine was good... More

Went to La Taverna on our last night in Pisa, what a great surprise! Bother the food and service were fantastic. The appetizers were huge and we could not finish all the food provided. The entrees also were well presented and great value. A great option in Pisa

We went there with colleagues or dinner and had fantastic food. Forget fish and dive deep into a lot of high quality Tuscan meat! Good presentation as well, but baseline very tasty. In addition, not a touristic place but mainly locals.

Went there last night and had to book again for tonight. Fantastic authentic food in fact we were the only non Italians in there tonight. Advice is to share a starter and go for the rabbit or the beef. Menu is all in Italian but helpful staff will advise. Great food both nights.

It is so nice when you still find in Italy the real Italian hospitality, the best food, the huge portions you use to get only at your granmother's house, and the good price you are no longer used to..especially when you are in one of the most visited places of Tuscany. Great the pici alle ortiche and the tagliata in... More

To get to this place, to to the tower, turn left, walk past the church and through the gate, turn right, and walk along the road for about 100 metres -- it's on the right. Absolutely great food and very friendly and helpful service. An incredible selection of wines -- the server gave a great recommendation for a bottle of... More

They agreed to serve us despite of closing hours. Limited choice did not allow us to order what we wanted, but proposed pastas were very good. Excellent Chianti, pencils for child and warm atmosphere. They deserve for 5 stars and our recommendation. We will return on autumn to check truffle pastas recommended by our friends.

What a lovely hidden gem of a restaurant and hands down the best authentic Italian cuisine I have ever had. We spotted this restaurant prior to arriving and having wandered around the leaning tower we thought as it was just around the corner we'd see if they could fit us in. It was full however we were told to return... More

A nice place with simple yet good food. Service was excellent. For the endless staff, nice cosy atmosphere. Good wine, good wine again, good desert wine and good grappa =) great night there! Not sure I should post this comment though, I love to keep this place secret!
