Only thing keeping this amazing restaurant from its Michelin 🌟 are the prices... Tough to find, hidden away in the back streets of San Gimagnano... but well worth the trouble!!!

This sweet restaurant was tucked away in a quiet corner of what can otherwise be a hectic little town. The staff was very pleasant, the wine was good and the food was very good. It was a bit slow, but overall worth the wait.
My wife and I found this Michelin guide gem quite by accident as we turned down an alley off the Piazza Cisterna on a Saturday night recently. The pesto mint pasta was unique and tasteful. Duck appetizer and pork main course along with a fine wine rounded out a wonderful dinner. Wish we had found this earlier in our week... More
We visited in search of a nice meal in San Gim and in spite of some poor reviews. It also advertises itself as a "slow food" restaurant. Arriving at about 7.20 pm it was not busy and we received polite and attentive service from start to finish (apart from that annoying bit when you have finished your meal, dessert, coffee,... More
So glad the place we thought we would eat at turned out to be closed for lunch. This accidental find really hit the spot. We had veggie rolls with saffron sauce, duck antipasto, cinghiale with juniper berries, bleu cheese ravioli with pear sauce and guinea hen. All the dishes were tasty and filling but not heavy. We had a bottle... More
This restaurant is tucked out of the way but is a Michelin Guide gem. It is worth looking for it. We came upon it quite by accident when we found San Gimignano so crowded we were looking for a restaurant which was not inundated with tourists. Checking all the alleyways off the main street paid off for us when we... More

The decor looked aged, some of the electrical fittings were coming off the wall and the cutlery and crockery could do with replacing. Still the menu looked interesting and, although by no means inexpensive, the prices are probably quite normal for a touristy place like San Gimignano.... More
I came upon this restaurant accidentally(is totally tucked out of the way!)The fact that it is on the Michelin Guide prompted me to have a look at the menu! -it seemed varied and reasonably priced so we(my elderly mum and myself) gave it a go! It was such a lovely surprise! The food was cooked to a very high standard... More
Nearly cancelled our reservation when we saw the utterly scathing review left earlier this month. Glad we didn't. Maybe the restaurant was having a bad day or maybe the reviewer was or a bit of both? I can only comment on our experience. I find it less helpful to read reviews of a place that are either "best ever" or... More
