I am still reliving this incredible meal - the best I've had in my four months overseas. The staff are incredibly kind, the waiters knowledgeable and the wine stunningly good. And don't even get me started on the FOOD. My god. They say it's a light lunch but I would hate to see what a heavy lunch is!!! The portions... More

Food and wine made/grown on the farm. Best Chianti I've had in Italy. Great food-- good service. I was with a Globus group and everyone enjoyed the meal.

Beautiful part of a tour I did in Tuscany. Friendly family run winery/farm with the most spectacular views I've ever seen. We didn't stay long as we were on a tour but what I saw made me want to go back. They have a bed and breakfast here, so next time I visit Italy I will be staying here ...... More

Simply fabulous highlight to a Tuscan tour. The family waited outside in the glorious sunshine taking wine and overlooking what is undoubtedly one of the great Tuscan landscapes to get an outside table. The set lunch extended over the entire afternoon with excellent course after excellent course complemented by excellent wines. This was a true culinary and aesthetic experience. Many... More

We enjoyed this family owned/run farm a few years ago as part of tuscany in a day tour and Poggio Alloro was one of the reasons we wanted to see Tuscany again. We drove ourselves from Florence, was about 45 min, not a bad drive at all and not hard to find. We pre-made reservations for lunch and were seated... More

Staying in Tuscany for 5 days, and have been here twice for lunch! The view is spectacular, the food and wine is great and the service was warm and welcoming. Love the paddock to plate aspect of the food! Very reassuring.

We stopped here for lunch and a tour to the farm. The tour was interesting and gave a sense of re-assurance of where your food is coming from. The farm was clean and the livestock was kept in clean area. Received a brief summary of the wine process. Two surprises I experienced here were: 1. I usually don't drink wine... More

While I can't say anything about the view ( we went for dinner ) I can write about both food and service. They were both amazing. Everything we had for dinner was just superb and the amount of food was just incredible. The service was very friendly and professional at the same time. They also have their own store where... We came for the wine tasting, but next time we'll stay longer! We tasted two white wines (Vernaccia) and two red wines (Chianti) with excellent pecorino and bio olives. Sarah told us a lot about wine and farm. Later we raided the store and we bought organic wine and organic pasta. For a long time we stood on the terrace... More

We have been planning a couples anniversary trip to Italy (6 people). We planned on visiting this restaurant based on the reviews, personal recommendations, and close proximity to our Villa. We drove straight to the restaurant, from the train station, before we even checked into our Villa and they were closed. Family members Sarah and Lorenzo invited us in anyway... More
