Stumbled on this restaurant by chance and boy were we glad we had. Lovely food, good wine, really nice atmosphere. The staff were so helpful and patient when we tried to figure of the menu and they helped us choose fantastic dishes. We could not believe how reasonable the bill was after the fabulous quality of the meal and wine. One... More

This is only small, but worth seeking out. You may have to share a table. Very friendly service and good food: we particulay liked the stews and rabbit, We came three times because it was so good, and we would go again, but, unfortunately, our stay in Siena had to end.

I was there with a friend for dinner and it's a very nice place where you could grab some food. Place is not so big but it's very warm. When you're there you could have food sharing table with others guest and you can chat with them (I like the idea). Food is quite easy (nothing so complicated): you can... More

We dropped in one evening on spec whilst in Siena for a week and ended up returning on two more evenings. Tucked away down a side street the service was friendly, the food superb and reasonably priced. A lovely touch were the handwritten menues. I just hope we can get back there again one day. One of the highlights of... More

We went here for dinner one evening because it was close to our hotel. It was so good we went back for lunch the next day. House wines are as smooth as any bottle of Tuscan wine we could have purchased. The menu is handwritten and the food is all wonderful. Very friendly service. If you want to experience home... More

I have been to Siena twice and have eaten at this restaurant 3 times. Fantastic rustic/traditional food. The service was just a great as the food. One of my best memories of my trip to Siena was at this fabulous place.

We happened across this small quaint restaurant while walking in Siena. There are about 4 tables that seats no more than 12 people. The menu is handwritten in Italian for that day. But the waitress, who is wonderful, will gladly interpret it for you. Good house wine and bread. My husband had Bistecca Briuca (roast pork) and I had Pici... More

We have visited on previous trips to Siena, the welcome as always was very friendly,a great sign was on our visit on Sunday lunchtime the restaurant was packed with locals. The menu is handwritten and regularly changes, full of traditional options and not an English translation in sight, excellent traditional vegetable soup, great pasta dishes, and mains including veal and pork and dishes which were... This was one of the best meals I had it Italy. Super rustic and authentic to Tuscany, it was the white beans and sausage, so simple yet delicious! My family loved their meals too but I was so into mine, I don’t remember what they had. The other stars of the restaurant were the waitress and the bread chest! The... More
