Tagliatelle ragu was fantastic. We were given a free dish to begin with (wish I knew the name, but this contained tomatoes, celery, cheese) and this was amazing too. Would definitely go back, and has been the best single meal in Italy so far. Highly recommended.

Small Osteria with good and kind service, traditional quality food, simple but pleasant location. The beef (tagliata) with porcini was amazing and everything served welcoming hosts, also during New Year's Eve dinner that was crowded. Recommended.

We stumbled upon this place when doing a day trip to Siena. It is a tiny taverna, but they quickly found us a seat. We were served their signature panzanella which was amazing and complementary. The service was great and the waiter knew enough English to help us decipher the menu. I had the most delicious gnocchi and my friend... More

"Inflated" Caprese (very small) with lettuce. Greasy gnocchi. OK wine, OK water (!). I have no problem with the 15% extra as they don't charge "coperto", but the food is, at best, mediocre.

When we first sat down we were given the complimentary panzanella (Italian bread tomato salad). It was very good and a nice surprise. For dinner we had Chicken alla Cacciatora, which was excellent. We loved the atmosphere. The service was just fine. It's a warm, cozy taverna. Perfect. Enjoy!

We passed this place twice before eventually deciding to give it a go, it looked a bit more traditional than all the others with their "Touristico Menu".... We were not disappointed. Great local cuisine, Tuscan hams, wines, truffles (Tagliatelle Tartofu) mushrooms (Risotto) The owner was very friendly and welcoming. It's a very small restaurant so you are close to neighbouring... This restaurant was just around the corner from where we were staying. We decided to give it a try & were not disappointed. We shared the bruschetta as an appetizer, my husband had the osso bucco and I had the chicken with mushrooms and mixed veggies to share. All the dishes were delicious and tasted like a good Italian home... More

People say mother...But anyway, whoever in the kitchen, the owner,or the the man who dominate and serve -I suppose Cecco- is important for this place. There are some cartoons which represents him.I asked him "Are those are shown your older times"?He did not like the question.I think he was an activist once upon a time...That is a good point to have sympathy... Came here on a local recommendation. They were very welcoming an accommodating, offering us free breaded soup for our minimal wait. I had risotto whilst my parents had the scallopini Marsala and osso bucco. All were excellent however the risotto was the star. The service was some of the best I've experienced in Europe
