I'm just not able to explain how this place surprised me! Just few tables and a very friendly atmosphere, the autentic italian tradition of the 50s I can't wait to come back!

A medium sized room with three tables and a few chairs don't make a restaurant. Some cold appetizers (sardines, potato salad, hard boiled eggs, octopus salad) salami, cheese and one pasta, none of them very good. But you will eat you food sharing the table with other people, and will pay about euros 15. Interesting but not a restaurant and... More

It s a simple place where you can have simple plates in relatively cheap prices. The cook and the waiter are perfect but the food is medium (we had cold plate and pici pasta with anchovies ) and the red wine is a "NO". Low quality wine can really give you the worst hangover headache you experienced so far.

Siena is a tourist hot spot but this place is run by locals and for locals Good value Tasty food: they do not have full a la carte menu but rather a few variations of dinner of the day Excellent service with a couple of guys working very hard to serve fresh food

Friendly, easy-going atmosphere, fresh food, excellent price ratio. They serve platters of ham and cheese and have different vegetables. I'd recommend the cheackpea salad with mozzarella and herrings. Another must is the "finocchiona di cinta senese"!

We loved this place. It is small and there are few choices. But the food is excellent and it was so cheap! The antipasti was fantastic and the pasta was also supergood.

Fantastic experience. Restaurant full of locals, we wanted to eat in a place used by locals so as to have an authentic experience. They were very busy, but welcoming. Food simple but tasty.

We ate here three times in two weeks after stumbling upon it on our fourth night and we've stayed longer we would have been back. This Osteria claims to be the oldest in Siena and there is an article from the Times on the wall mentioning it pre-eurozone. Don't go here if you want a menu or an extensive wine... More

Very popular with local people. Went in a group of 7 and they looked after us really well. They did us a mix of meat, cheese, veg and pasta and it was fantastic.

Went to this Osteria for lunch as we had walked past it a couple of times and the antipasto plates had looked good. When we arrived the tables inside, of which there are not many, were full and there were three separate tables outside that each seated 6 people that were also full. Staff were also setting up another table... More
