Came across this restaurant by chance and noticed that some locals were eating lunch there and decided to give it a go. We were not disappointed. The lamb and roast potatoes were very good as was the large salad. All at a very decent price. Yes there are more up market restaurants in the Gubbio region which are probably better... More

We found our way to this restaurant because it was listed as a place that catered to celiacs. And truly, most of the menu was able to be converted to gluten free choices. We started with a wonderful antipasto del tartufaro and crescia (a local specialty bread) with capocola, both gluten free. My partner's Capella di S. Francesco was also... More

I took the menu with some kind of pasta and something made of wild boar. It was nice and cheap, but could have been better. The staff was pretty slow in the beginning which was a bit disturbing, as I wanted to reach my bus, but finally it went well altogether.

I have been here several times and my experience was consistent. The staff is friendly. The food is excellent, with traditional dishes as well as pizza etc.. Portions are XXL. Prices are excellent (you can eat antipast, primo, secondo, dessert, wine, water and coffee for around 20 / 25 euros). Excellent!

I would not consider this a place to go for a 'serious' dinner, but it was fine for a simple lunch. We decided to order calzones - one traditional with tomato sauce, cheese and sausage and the other with spinach and cheese. Our eyes popped out when the calzones were brought to the table because they appeared to be humongous!... More

when I enter a restaurant with an Amex sticker on the door I do not expect to be told by the manager that we cannot do it. He says all other cards will work but not Amex. This line has been played on me before and it is all a con. I asked him to remove the Amex sticker and... More

Don't do it - don't go to this restaurant no matter what some less educated reviewers might write... It is a tourist restaurant and the food is awful. We got vegetables served from a can! Literally! Later, after our horrible lunch, we went into a local truffle shop and spoke to the owner who confirmed that San Francesco e Ill... More

The restaurant looked inviting from the outside and the three of us decided to try lunch here. We ordered the menuu turistico today which was quite expensive and did not include wine or water. The first pasta course was quite good but the second course of meat with lemon sauce was bland. Atmosphere was nice and overall an expensive average... More

This was by far the worst meal we had in our 3 week honeymoon in Italy. I ordered pasta with truffle, my husband had pasta with porcini mushrooms, well that's what it was meant to be. When his dish came, there were about 3 cut up mushrooms that had obviously come from a can, a sprinkling of dried parsley and... More
