An interesting place ... quite dated really and you will pay a lot of money for what I can only describe as very average food. It does have a good atmosphere but this is brought about by the live Swiss entertainment rather than the food or decor. On both our visits the service was speedy and efficient. I have read... More

The food was traditional, Suisse food. There were fondue options, and many options for vegetarians. The minstrels played accordian, the saw, the very long horn, spoons, oboe, and other items. It was fun, affordable, and worth the experience, despite it being billed as "touristy". We found it to be quaint and delightful.

What a wonderful dinner! Staff treated my family very kindly and the atmosphere was great. Loved the fondue, the live music, the wine, and the service. So glad we found this place. Would definitely come back.

In the centre of Geneva's (rather tame) red-light district, Edelweiss reflects the picture-postcard wholesomeness of an Alpine setting. A range of fondues and some other typical dishes in a very Swiss chalet-style setting and excellent, discrete live music: accordeon, alphorn and yodeling. Friends referred to this place as a tourist trap, but most customers appeared to be Swiss. While our... More

We were staying in the hotel linked to this place but found it rather hard to get a table but managed at the last moment to be fitted in. Its busy because it is good . It more a swiss experience than a meal. Tip : make sure to pick up a 15% discount voucher at the reception... you will... More

We visited this restaurant with a school group. Traditional fondue was served, which was quite good. For dessert we had a sort of apple pie (I don't know the real name of the sort of pie) and ice cream to top it off. Delicious. The restaurant is big and has an alpine theme. One could argue that it was a... More

A very touristic place with good fondue and other Swiss traditional meals. A must see if you are coming from abroad and want to leave the swiss experience. A band sometimes plays traditional music. Service is ok. You need to book in advance.

If you were looking for the Switzerland you saw in the Heidi movie, you'll find it here. Edelweiss aims to please those looking for the folksy alpine stereotype. They even have a guy playing one on those really long wooden Alpine horns--and he'll let you try it. Another guy played Edelweiss on the cow bells. We had the fondue which... More

One of the place to be if you want to enjoy the kitsch atmosphere of Swiss alps without leaving Geneva. Don't expect to spend a quiet evening there, the place is crowded and noisy, a unique opportunity to listen to live musical saw and alps horn. The fondue was excellent, but a bit pricey, as usual in Geneva.

Located in the hotel of the same name was very touristy but I loved it since yes i am a tourist. The fondue was quite tasty though expensive. I loved the live music, guests were even allowed to come and try to use that big horn they use here in Switzerland.
