I was wandering around because I wanted to try the famous Fondue and I saw this place. The restaurant is small and crowded ( it's better to call to take a reservation on Saturday) and the food was basically good: i took the fondue with brad ( the waiter didn't waste time to explain that I could have had potatoes... This gem of a restaurant is worth the uphill climb. Wonderful fondue and a great choice of wines (I recommend the local Swiss wines as most are not exported out of the country and therefore are rare to find). Menus are in French and English, but this is not a tourist trap. Just across from the restaurant is the eglise... More

Dear customer, Thank you for your feedback on tripadvisor. However I think you made a mistake when you wrote your comment. Indeed we are not situated in the old town. It's unfair to take credit of your wonderful comment for the restaurant where you had your lovely meal. Warm regards. More

I was travelling via Geneva so I asked for a nice Swiss restaurant and I've been suggested the Auberge de Saviese. Nice place, good food (if you like cheese as the majority of the menu is based on cheese), good service mid priced. In summary good but not special. If you want a nice meal go for it, but if... Dear customer, Thank you for you feedback. As a traditionnal Swiss restaurant we do have a lot of meal with cheese. Nevertheless, we also have others Swiss specialties, without any cheeses, on the menu for the ones who are not as fond of cheese as us, like the "Veal émincé Zurichois", our "Homemade Rösti", the "Perch fillets", our "Savièse Rustic",... Recommend booking this restaurant before going! We didn't have a booking but the staff found us a table. We saw many people turned away that evening due to no bookings! Portions were very big - the fondue for one was huge (house fondue) and very tasty! You only get bread so it is good to get sides such as meats... More

We weren't sure if we'd struggle to find food late on a Sunday evening, but this place is brill- it's non stop seven days a week. It's got a great atmosphere and traditional Swiss lodge decor and design. The staff were attentive and v.friendly. We had a classic half & half Fondue with Gruyere cheese and it tasted fab. We... Dear customer, Thank you very much for your kind feedback. I am pleased to read that you enjoyed spending your dinner with us. I am also happy that our house specialty the Half & Half cheese fondue has suited you perfectly. Usually the bread is a little bit cryspy in order to kept the cheese on him but we also... More

After reading reviews we were looking forward to a typical Savoyard meal in a typical restaurant and with a good service. Although some of the dishes we had were good (fondu and pasta), portions were quite small. We were very disappointed with the raclette dish that we paid near to 35 euros for, for 1 person. It was served on... More

Dear customer, Thank you for you feedback. First of all I want to make a clarification, we are absolutely not a Savoyard restaurant but a Swiss typical restaurant so I am afraid that you were in the wrong place since the beginning for the experience you were looking for. Moreover we are not in France but in Switzerland so you... More

This place was recommended by the hotel as a place to get some local Swiss flavor. It seems to be set up to cater to tourists looking for something Swiss. It is decorated in a homey Swiss style and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was pretty good but also a little expensive. Be warned that it... More

I've been a few times to this place and had both the cheese and meat fondues which have been very good. I tried the Bacchus tonight which is thin slices of beef and chicken strips you cook yourself in a bowl of hot red wine and spices. You get the usual unlimited fries and usual various dips. Again like the... More
