This restaurant, attached to the hotel of the same name, is located right in the heart of the old city in a 17th century stone house. Operating since 1957, the restaurant acquired over the years a good reputation (celebrities and head of state dined here) with a traditional and seasonal cuisine. The décor is built around the full-size knight armor... More

The name "les Armures" means armours and they are inside the restaurants and take you company while you eat. It is the right restaurants if you want typical swiss food like fondue, raclette, but you can have a lot of other meals and all of good quality. It is a good place to go with friends. The inside is very... More

Famously visited by Bill Clinton during his heyday, this is a really fantastic restaurant to experience excellent service and food in an excellent atmosphere and location. Based in the old town, this restaurant is one of the oldest in Geneva and is part of an award winning hotel. We did not stay in the hotel but had fondue at the... More

My husband and I had a delicious food and very good wine. I just think they needed to offer more options of bread with the fondue.

Second visit here, loved it both times. Very warm atmosphere and good service. Both times, we had the lovely cheese fondue and this time, we tried the fondue chinois, with thinly-sliced beef slowly cooked in stock. On the menu, they tell you where everything is sourced, which is great because you can choose to have only local products.

The veal with cream sauce was heavenly. The fondue fromage which my husband had was absolutely delicious! The restaurant is attached to the hotel on top of a hill in the old city. You can walk up the hill or take the tram #36. It is very expensive but if you're in Geneva and want to enjoy fine Swiss dining,... More

Its a must visit restaurant for its raclette, one of the most tasty raclette i ever had. The chevre chaud salad is excellent, very very tasty. The pinot noir wine is a good one with the fondue. Amazing atmosphere outdoor next to the "armures". The smell of the cheese is strong indoor. I would recommend sitting outside. As for the... More

My husband and I came here based on the great reviews. We ordered the cheese fondue and raclette to start, both were amazing. The cheese was delicious and hot, bread was a bit stale but we didn't really care after dunking it in the fondue. I think I liked the raclette better though and wished it came in a bigger... More

We came here with friends on the dual reputation that it was an institution that served classic Swiss fayre, and was the Clinton's favourite fondue place in Geneva when (Hilary?) was working at the UN. Restaurant is very kitsch and nicely set out in the armures theme - suit of armour in the corner, weapons on the walls, etc. Food... More
