We visit the place few times in last 3-4 years. Food is great as usual with delicious veg options like galangal soup, spicy papaya salad, green Thai curry and sorbets. But the service this year has really gone south with ignorant and adamant trainees joining. Waitress named Lak is very polite and old-timer but she is only for lunches and... More

We accidentally happen to find this place while walking by. We had a lovely experience after we walked in. Fortunately, we got space, though it is a fine dining restaurant. Like other reviews yes it is a bit expensive, but then you get what you pay for. Very tasty food and way it was decorated and served. They have only... More

The food is good for sure. Nothing bad although my fish cakes were a bit on the bland side. But to pay 350 fr for 4 persons at lunch without any alcohol and only 2 desserts, it's ridiculous even for Geneva. The price of a bottle of water here could buy you a very good glass of wine in many... More

The food at Patara was delicious and beautifully presented. They also gave some extra small treats as the meal went on.

Have been several times to this restaurant. The staff are friendly and attentive, the food is divine and the location next to the lake of Geneva is a bonus, with parking nearby.

So here is the deal. If you don't care about money then you must try it not because it's good but because it's one of the best in town. The same food the same service will cost me in any US big city no more than 100 UD with tip. Give it a try if you want but for me... More

The palace is an iconic place in Geneva but the Thai restaurant is not at the same level unfortunately. Very very expensive prices (price of Thailand multiplied by five and more ...), small portions and basic standard Thai food with nothing exceptional. The service in Thai restaurant is usually nice and friendly with Thai smiles. For the price that is... More

Since opening in 1999, Patara rapidly became a leading reference in Thai gastronomy and has long been one of the go-to addresses in international Geneva. This Mecca of culinary refinement is in reality the Geneva ambassador of one of the finest tables in Bangkok. It stands out for the authenticity and modernity of its cuisine, offering innovative combinations of spices, flavours and modes of preparation. The restaurant is located within the exceptional setting of the Hotel Beau-Rivage and boasts all the know-how, exclusive recipes and service philosophy of its Thai parent company. The chefs and kitchen team are sent to Geneva from Bangkok after being trained and having spent at least five years in the group's establishments. In a scrupulous concern for authenticity and freshness, ingredients are sent out twice a week from Bangkok, and are used in combination with the finest local produce. A comprehensive wine-list, selected especially for their harmonious combination with spicy dishes, rounds off a unique gastronomic experience on the banks of Lake Geneva, combining the best of East and West.
