On business in Geneve and fancied a cheese fondue. This place is amazing. Walked in and it was very busy and the owner managed to get me a table. I would advise booking! The fondue was excellent and the service equally amazing. I would highly recommend the cafe du soleil to all cheese lovers

We visited Café du Soleil just before heading back to the airport as it's conveniently only a 10 minute bus ride away. Their Gruyere fondue was delicious as was the wine. The waiting staff were pleasent and relaxed, as was the lovely outdoor seated area in front of the restaurant!

I visited here with my husband in May as I had previously been here with work colleagues and enjoyed the experience. The first thing that hits you is the smell - its cheese. So if you don't like the gentle waft of it everywhere you go - eat somewhere else. The staff are helpful, and helped us choose from the... More

Several times, we read and heard about cheese fondue at Café du Soleil in Geneva, and we were keen to try it. My wife and I are aficionados of cheese fondue ; over the years, we had fondue in a number of places in Switzerland and in the French Alps. Take our word for it : we were wowed by... More

Wow, our first night in Geneva and this was an amazing place to stop. Wonderful community vibe, great servers, the most delicious fondue, the wine and desserts are good too. Be sure to try the pineapple & basil (amazingly delicious and refreshing). One of the oldest fondue restaurants in Geneva (or so they tell me) and they continue to rock... More

Cafe du soleil is situated in a small neighborhood in Geneva that is close to the intercontinental hotel. I've heard that their specialties are fondue and steak - but instead I tried their Lake fish which was delicious (and not overly buttered like other places). Likewise, my colleague enjoyed his lamp steak. We enjoyed eating outside in their courtyard although... More

Bistro style. Pleasant atmosphere. Inside service and on the terrace in good weather. Great fondue and much more: other cheese dishes, traditional Swiss dishes, meat, salads, daily specials and delicious desserts. Friendly and efficient service. Near the international organizations.

I went to this place twice during my 4 day trip in Geneva. The first time I went, I ordered the chefs special which was duck leg with crispy potatoes. It was the definitely the best meal I had during my stay. The meat of the duck was literally falling off it  and the potates and vegetables were well seasoned.... More
